I'm wondering how to go to school in other countries ;) How many days a week you learn from and what time to what time?
2013-05-06 10:27
In Russia we learn to 6 days a week, from 8 to 13

6day OMG
2013-05-17 19:18
For me at secondary school, aged 16 so the last year, it's Monday to Friday 8:50 - 4 minimum + Saturday which ranges from either 9:30 - 12:30 or until 3.
2013-05-06 10:40
What? 8:50-4:00?? As minimum! Do you do extra curricular activities then? And why do you go to school on Saturdays? Is it like revision sessions for GCSE's?
2013-05-06 15:26
Yeah man, all year 11s in my school are made to stay until at least 4. Recently I've been in school to as late as 7pm to get coursework done. Saturday is compulsory revision and though today is a bank holiday, my teacher made us come in at 10 :P Crazzzzzeeeeeee
2013-05-06 18:42
Shit! My school is pretty harsh and make us do a lot of work, but they don't make us stay any later than anyone else and we don't go in on Saturday or Sunday. GL with your exams, I've got my first one tomorrow :(
2013-05-06 19:27
I've got literally shit loads coming up. Literally several in a day one after the other for like a few weeks. Another thing that sucks is that we are literally allowed to leave after out last exam but my last is in like late July or something. Suckey!
2013-05-06 20:36

Portugal haas-
First 4 years, in Elementary School, the schedule might vary, but it's pretty much 8 hours per day. Then, in Basic School, which consists in 5 years, the schedule is different for everyone. But basically, you get 2 days from 8 to 13 and the other 3 days full of classes. In Secondary school it's pretty much the same as in Basic, with slight changes. University, depends on the course you take. 5 days a week.
2013-05-06 10:49
i wasnt in school for some time now but i think it was 5 days a week 9 to 3:30 - 45 min break
2013-05-06 10:56
oh shit

England is even easier, you spend more time outside from school rather than inside. Half terms, Bank Holidays etc. Schools are closed :D
2013-05-06 11:45
2013-05-06 11:47
No we don't...
2013-05-06 15:27
True, a tad of snow and yeah closed school! Apart from when you're in my grade where they make you come in during a snow blizzard if there was one.
2013-05-06 18:43
In belgium, in highschool, it was 5 days a week, approximately 34 hours a week (some have 30-32, and others have 36 also)finishing at 12h-13h wensday and never on saturday. So basically, beginning between 8 and 9 and finishing around 3-4 except wenesday.
2013-05-06 11:08
2013-05-06 11:09
What what ? :D I for example had 35 hours lessons every week. I began at 8.15 every day, finished sometime at 4h50pm, sometime a 4pm, sometime at 3h10pm, sometime at 2h20pm and every wenesday at 12h50pm. But it depend from the school, it's not the same in every school. But now in university it's like completely different but that wasn't the question ;)
2013-05-06 11:36
thanks x)

5 days a week, 8am to 3pm. thats pretty much it I'm from Germany btw
2013-05-06 12:41
in romania i had 5/7 days from 10:30am to 14:30pm (private school) and it was soo easy cause of schedule...+ in every school every 50min x lesson you get 10min of recess(and i could go eat lunch at home since i was living 100m from center+home) here i go 6/7 days , 3 days from 8am to 12 and 3 from 8 to even lucky the system changed...cause before i registered in this school the ones before me had 6/7 always from 8am to 2pm... dunno what system to choose between italian/romanian...both have pros and cons. in romania every recess someone fighting eachother , even teachers hitting and insulting you , the school is much harder(what i learned in first years in romania i learned in last years in italy in nearly every subject) , but then again the schedule is "lighter" and you have more free time + recess every hour... in italy there is nearly no violence and rudeness(and if there is it's about 1/10 compared to .ro) , there is only 1 recess x day worth 15min , you go 6/7 days and learn stuff too late compared to other countries(system is kinda outdated...) hmmm...hard choice :D both shit
2013-05-06 12:48
I kinda to disagree with school in Romania being harder. It's true, but it really depends what school are you in. Example: I did in 9-10th grade IT and Maths subjects that my friends going to school in Romania started doing in 10th-11th grade. So basically a decent student in 9th grade in my school is more prepared that an 10th or even 11th grade romanian student. Also, I have a lot more to study in subjects such as History, Literature and other crap than my buddies in Romania, which are in higher grades than me and also, a lot more homeworks. I daily spend 6-7 hours in school starting from 8:00, while in Romania most of my friends (in higher grades) go to school from 10:00 to 13/14:00. Also they have a lot less marks than I have. I compared mine to them and I've got double or even triple in some subjects. They have got a break every hour of 10 minutes and after the 3rd hour they got a bigger one (15 minutes), for those who go to school from 8:00 ofc. I only got a 10 minutes break at 11:00. It really depends in which school you go. Anyway, both systems suck hard, in Italy they teach you a lot of unnecessary stuff that prolly you'll never use in your life, meanwhile in Romania you're not prepared enough at the end of High School because teachers suck and as you said people are fighting each other like animals.
