why exactly are u pissed off ?
His own fault.
They ordered him to Drop the weapon, He should've just dropped it unless he was some guy with a non working brain.
i heard that in US you have 5 seconds to surrender..or police will start to shoot
is it true, usa? reply me please some1
why this only happens in USA ... hmm??
"The deputies called for backup and repeatedly ordered the boy to drop the gun" - I don't get how you can be pissed off when you think they didn't give him enough time. Pretty sure if I had a fake gun and the police were shouting at me to drop it, it would take 2 seconds for it to leave my hands and hit the floor, even if I was 12.
haha own fault over 9000.
nothing new happen in germany as well
Even though if the kid didnt pointed the gun at them they acted stupid as usual
wait i read the article now
He may had the intention
Its a replica not a toy. Thats quite a difference. if you had a gun and your counter part had a gun as well what would you do if he tried to point the gun at you?
I take my first comment back they had to do this
Jesus the article is poorly written they talk about 2 different cases in one article. So confusing to read it because they take quotes from 2 different cases.
another reason for europeans to feel great about their own fucked up continent.
Officers in the city of Santa Rosa say they opened fire after the boy refused orders to drop the rifle, which they believed to be real.
im with the cops here. someone is carrying what you believe to be a real rifle and they refuse to drop it. id shoot them too
At 13 you are supposed to know that walking in the streets with a replica of an AK isn't a good idea, in the USA in the top of that...
Its a lack of education from the parents. I don't think a 13 year old can be held responsible for acting this way if he was never taught proper gun safety and handling procedures as a child. HMMMM maybe because they are in one of the states with the strictest gun laws. Education programs are the only things that will stop this kind of thing from happening.
If I were a cop, I probably would have done the same thing. The cops asked him to drop the "gun" , he didn't and aimed to them, so, their reaction was kill the threat.
That's like running around with a fake gun in Syria... That's a bit of an extreme comparison but in both cases it's a stupid idea and any child should have known better in that situation.
kid looked like a piece of trash anyway. probably a stubborn little shithead who didnt want to listen to the police so they opened fire. i have a 13 year old nephew who would never do anything stupid like that. oh well.
the gun replica looks pretty realistic, not some toys 'r' us plastic shit... why would you let a 12 year old boy own that :s
I agree.. it is just a kid, and it's not the best way to react in a situation like that, i do agree. But.. with the recent events in the USA and with all the kids walking around with real guns i am not surprised this happened. It is awful, it's freaking horrible.. and i am really really sorry about the family and i do think that the police officers should've reacted differently. But with all the fuzz going on in there i kind of understand if they panicked.
And.. that is a nice replica btw.... pretty realistic... And i do not understand why did he not put the weapon down when they asked him to do so..
Really sorry for the family and what happened to them it really is just fucked up..
It's his own god damn fault.
Kid's these days are complete retards
Why not to cover and shoot in the air close to him?
Should scare him and not kill immediately, f* no brains.
Kid was a moron too.
Maybe he didn't understand what they wanted from him... Just look at his name "loppez", probably some immigrant from Mexico. Or they was yelling at him as usual and he was in some kind of shock. It's hard to say where is truth...
I don't understand why they didn't shoot a non-letal one, like in the arm or shoulder ...
they've probably managed to full auto 2-3 magazines before the dead statment.
stupid fat ass.
awh man why did you need to post this, there's enough sad news 24/7. Last thing we need is people spreading it around.
why the fuck don't they shoot him in his legs if they have to shoot him at all?
fucking America with their retarded gun politics...
On one hand, the kid shouldn't carry replica guns around..
On the other hand, a police officer should have enough intelligence to understand that there is no way in hell a 13 year old kid could use an ak47. The recoil from 2 shots would knock him on his ass flat.
idiots in this thread talking crap while they don't know shit is hilarious.
I had tons of replica/toy guns as a kid... I NEVER took them around out in public
Both kid and cops are retarded here but the country is not to blame...
I don't think cops are to blame. How would you react if a guy turned to you with what appears to be a full automatic riffle? It's not easy say it's a fake from far away.. he was warned to drop it, still turned to them, they reacted. What if it wasn't a fake? ;)
cops: look a latin man with an ak
other cop: shoot first ask later
This is why we need a gun ban in America
I live in Northwest Indiana, about 30 mins from Chicago, and the city of Chicago has some of the most strict gun laws in the nation, and people get shot daily in Chicago, it's not going to stop, hell drugs are illegal, but people get them daily, and if they take away the guns, only people left with them will be the gang bangers and criminals, thank god I'm a resident of Indiana, and can have my sidearm holstered and out, you never know when the next moron decides to start shooting. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
Homer Simpson says it best: "A gun is not a weapon, it's a tool, like a butcher's knife, or a harpoon, or uh uh an alligator"
This happened in my county. sonoma county. And the sherrifs here have been trigger happy in the past. But we don't know all the detail. It's currently under investigation according to the newspaper but I doubt anything will happen to the officer.
Meh. This is no joking matter, regardless if it was mistake to shoot or not. Just because he's 12 ys old, that doesn't make that "plastic" gun in his hands look harmless. Who even makes such toys?
The police should shoot in the kid's arms or legs,so that wouldn't lead to the death. The policeman must be poor at aiming or just too nervous.
This stupidity in this thread is strong
Well sad to read it but here in Pakistan, on Eid days you can't find any kid without a replica pistol or rifle in his hand. No such incident happened here so far. But policeman should have shot him on leg or a single bullet but he fired 7 rounds :O that's really strange
