Sneijder is class of course but Robin has been terrific this past 2 years top scorer in both seasons in EPL, top scorer in the dutch national team, one of the best strikers in the world when he is not injured

Ofc rvp had more impact for his team in the league he plays but for the national team I would say Sneijder had a lot more impact against the hard teams, he went complete hardcore in 2010 WC, even against Spain he was excellent. With the big disaster In 2012 he still provided world class passes in every game where his teammates just had to face the gk, I would def count on him the most on national events.

exactly, Sneijder is one of the best dutch players EVER if not the best. It's just ridiculous he never won ballon d'or, he deserved it in 2008 for instance

hes top scorer by the age of 30 years, Patrick Kluivert played his last game bij the age of 26. if this guy played 4more years, RVP wouldnt be even close top scorer for sure !!!

Kluivert was a striker all his career, RVP has been a striker since like 3-4 years, he played as a winger in Arsenal and Netherlands from 2004-2009.

sure he played winger before wenger converted him as shadow/second striker behind thierry henry and deep striker after but still if u take a closer look finishing abilities, kluivert was a step ahead ;) p.s. Iam a certified football coach btw, I know what am talking about ;)

where did a say that he is better than Kluivert? I simply said he is the best dutch player right now the Netherlands have a lot of legends that were better than RVP in their primes its one of the best countries in football but right now RVP is the best dutch player and many others would agree.

Since we didn't qualify in the easiest group in world cup qual history i highly doubt we can advance from this one(italy,croatia,bulgaria,azerbaijan, malta) but oh well, maybe we do better as underdogs

too bad. i remember petrescu and popescu being very good players. chivu is still a great player and i haven't heard much about mutu in a while but he used to be good at least. but that's pretty much all i know. i just remember that romania used to be a team that, when having a good day, could challenge any team.

we had good players and results in '80, '90 and early '00. last good performance was in '06 made by steaua (uefa cup semifinal). hypno pointed: they don't invest in youth. only hagi has an academy and it's trying to do something with romanian football but when you're alone can't do much. mutu, is at petrolu right now.
