I fucking love Scandinavia in almost everything, i'd say it's even a little bit better in almost everything than the Netherlands. Although there is a few things why I'd never move there: -In the winter it's dark a long fucking time. I'd get depressed as fuck. -The Netherlands is really liberal: for instance on drugs (although other countries are catching up) -Hardstyle baby

So luckily you can move to a multi-cultural suburban or a segregated city with only Swedes. What happends in Rosengård doesn't bother me. There are shitholes everywhere. I was born and raised in a multi-cultural suburban and I'm thankful for that. Luckily there have been very few amount of somalians here though. In a classroom you got pretty much people from several countries which is interesting. A class room full with Swedish, Aryan wiht blonde hair and blue eyes would be boring. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_Jante

2014-12-25 18:44
itali? no for sure not. I'm from Poland, it's only good to live here if you earn more than 2k Euros a month. Then it's pretty comfortable i think, but the people are annoying with their constant naging and whining about their health and financial situation.

I couldnt live in any of those places because of the bad climate, except maybe France, and even in France the climate isnt the same as here in Portugal, its colder. I have a really good life here, and if i had to move, the only place i would really like to go would be NA, probably California. Ofc you have to have a good work to have a better life, everyone knows that, its just that in many countrys even with a good work i dont see my self living in.

No, you just showed one more time that you are a dick that dont know what is talking about, in summers here in portugal sometimes its 35C, while in Russia the highest temperature on summer its something like 24C, 25C, and on winter its really cold, nothing that can be compared to Portugal. So, you probably never came to portugal, or if you have, you have done it in the winter and went for the north of the country.
2014-12-27 14:54

You Portuguze seem absolutely obsessed with warm climates... When I'm in a super warm climate, like when I lived in Southern Spain during the summer, I couldn't get anything done and just sat around sweating with no leftover energy. Meanwhile, it's cold as fuck here right now (according to your definitions), and I have so much more energy left over to do stuff. You can always put on clothes if it's too cold, but you can only take off so many clothes if it's too warm. But I guess you might be part African down there so the warmth doesn't affect you in the same way..:?

Its only "super warm" in the summer, when i take vacations, and when i can go to the beach and lay lazy on the sun, and when its too hot i just go to the water. The rest of the year its a warm temperature, not cold but not hot as hell. I cant stand cold, when its too cold i just want to stay in the bed all day... Most of the time when we portuguese people see people from other countrys(nordic ones) here, they are all with t-shirts, even on the winter, which is quite funny, since we are all using warm clothes. Maybe its on our blood/genes :b.

2014-12-28 01:20
All your fucking life is around the weather. 35C is a shit, Russia has been 35C as well, I've been at Portugal and I was with 38º and in the north of the country (Guimaraes). You can find as well in the north of Spain 48º in Zaragoza, for example. But also 50º if you go to Andalucia. In terms of cold you can get -20º if you go to the Pyrenees villages (close to Jaca/Huesca). So it is cold as hell as well. But it means nothing, Spain is a shit compared to other countries in Europe, you should travel a bit more and enjoy the different things in the world.

But we have lots of Rich people. Just i am not hating czech never visit it, only say what i know from stats and from people :)) i am from Paris and my family is rich, but i am not arogant faggot, czech have a good land, Prague looks like very nice. Ehm, World's Richest Countries by 2014 GDP - International Monetary Fund statistics at October 2014 1. China: US$17.632 trillion (up 79.4%) 2. United States: $17.416 trillion (up 18.3%) 3. India: $7.277 trillion (up 62%) 4. Japan: $4.788 trillion (up 11.8%) 5. Germany: $3.621 trillion (up 14.6%) 6. Russia: $3.559 trillion (up 15.4%) - but now is economy so down 7. Brazil: $3.073 trillion (up 25%) 8. France: $2.587 trillion (up 11.6%) :))) So yeah France is in 2014 in top 10. UK is on 10Th, its not same with GDP per capita based on population size. There is France not in Top 10 sure, here is on 26Th. But we are talking about Rich Coutrys not rich people in countrys dude.

If you're a freelancer earning money from western companies or an IT specialist then Poland is not "poor". If you have 2k-3k euros a month here you can buy anything that you want and you will sill save money every month. 400 euros for an apartement/house credit 200 euros for bills 200 euros for food 100 euros for gas/petrol leaves you about 1,2- 2,2k euros for anything you want

Yes, Poland in the context of the EU is extremely poor. I am student so i have no work, but my family = dad lawyer and mom architect have per month cca 27,000 k euros but i am not sure in this its only +-. Who cares about a domain name? That's the lamest argument ever. By your logic I can register a domain grggrggrg.com and claim that USA is now called Grggrggrg. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa If you are going to lecture someone, educate yourself first and foremost. Europa is not the same thing as Europe. Period.

> Who cares about a domain name? That's the lamest argument ever. By your logic I can register a domain grggrggrg.com and claim that USA is now called Grggrggrg. You mistake everything. It's not "a domain name" as in some random domain. It's THE official domain of the European Union. Also check out their voluntary page title "EUROPA - European Union website." If whitehouse.gov or usa.gov started to refer to it as "Grggrggrg" then you might have some semblance of a fucking point. Also, you do realize that the name "Europe" comes from Europa, right? Look up the word on World Etymology. Europe Look up Europe at Dictionary.com from Latin Europa "Europe," from Greek Europe, of uncertain origin; as a geographic name first recorded in the Homeric hymn to Apollo (522 B.C.E. or earlier) Europa = Latin version Europe = Greek version English has word derivatives from both languages. In the case of the moon of Jupiter, Galileo was Italian, so of course he used the Latin version of the word to name the moon. You're the one beating your chest about how Zeus and Jupiter do not refer to the same deity (hint, they do). Then again, you wouldn't expect a Japanese person to be an expert on English and western languages. Go back to phonetically sounding out every syllable and leave talk about English and Western languages to people who are not retarded about it.
2014-12-26 03:54

You are making it more complicated than it is. Your comment was written in English. English word for Europe is - big surprise - Europe. The word Europa refers to a whole bunch of different things in English language, not a single one of them being a name of the continent. Why is that? Because there is already a word for it and it is - again, big damn surprise - Europe. So if you are going to write in English, stick to it and don't randomly put Latin words in your sentences, as they do have a different meaning in present English. Then again, I don't expect some HLTV noname to be an expert on not being a total nutfuck and following basic logic, so go back to a cheating witchhunt or whatever it is you kids are doing around here these days.
2014-12-26 11:21
EU (disambiguation) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The EU is the European Union, a politico-economic union. EU or eu may also refer to: .eu, a country code top-level domain Europe, a continent Euro, a currency Get educated kid. Never go full retard.

So you mean that some people shorten Europe to Eu or eu. No really? Did you read the title? It says "EU" aka both E and U are capitalized. This acronym stands for [E]uropean [U]nion (notice how the first letter of both words are E and U). Do you need me to explain to you how an acronym works? So if EU = all of europe, what do we use to refer to the European Union? The organization EU? The politico-economic union of European Union? GTFO. You're the one referring to a wikipedia disambiguation page, which is intended to refer to all cases in which people (including uneducated fucktards like yourself with no degree from a university worth a shit) use or misuse the term "EU".
2014-12-25 23:30

Yeah yeah, there is no way, that EU is used as abbreviation for the continent of Europe, (but it is the continent code in IT and telecommunication), in an informal setting like a gaming forum of all things! How could you ever know if they meant Europe or the European Union??? Unless there was a little thing called context. Why would you ever assume, that NA means North America when NA is the official iso code of Namibia and also has so many other uses??? WHEN WILL IT END??? A two letter abbreviation is only allowed to mean one thing and one thing only!!! Otherwise people might be required to take context into account! Can't have that!!! I sure wish nobody used EU as an abbreviation before the EU was founded in 1992, how horrible would that be??? Imagine the confusion! Somehow I highly doubt that you have any college education if you get bent out of shape so badly when someone uses an abbreviation in a way that you aren't used to. How anal can you be?
2014-12-26 06:42
1 reply
NA = short for [N]orth [A]merica, again an acronym. What's EU short for if not [E]uropean [U]nion? Why would the U need to be capitalized if it was short for [E]urope? You guys are defensive because someone made the point that Switzerland and Norway are technically not part of the EU, which is 100% true. Likewise many of the CIS countries are not part of the EU either. It's completely valid to suggest that some people would not count Norway or Switzerland as valid answers to the question "Best *EU* country to live in" since neither are in the EU, isn't it? You were the one that started slinging insults first so let's not get into an argument about who's bent out of shape. Everyone knows words change their meaning over time, but there are obviously those that still argue otherwise. It's no different than how the CS term "bomb" has been distorted from a set of ten kills to an term to describe individual kills when a player is doing well (e.g. 30 bomb). But there's plenty of people who would tell you that a bomb does not refer to individuals kills. It's no different here. Some people would like to throw around words like they don't give a shit. Others would rather words mean what they were intended to mean so to avoid confusion. Oh noes, a difference in opinion!

I'm not blaming you my dear, rather just trying to answer. The thing is, a lot of Scandinavian users even if they ping low in their ping region (nordics/baltics/russia) tend to ping rather high elsewhere, e.g. france, poland, or even germany, not to mention southern europe.

im not from scandinavia so i don't really know, but when i play in matchmaking/faceit/mixes/pcw etc i notice that most swedes don't exceed 10-15 ping ;d
2014-12-25 20:06
Obviously Scandinavian players will ping "rather high elsewhere", that's a physical limitation. He probably meant that Scandinavians have the lowest pings if you account for the distance / external factors. And that's probably true because Scandinavian countries have lots of fiber connections.

Might be patriotic, but Norway is a country with with lot's of good qualities. Almost no education fee(only at private schools and a small amount on higher education), free healthcare, high salary, beautiful scenary, an exceptional culture for sports, very few natural disasters, loads of nice girls(rumors are true), and snow.

For living standards: Norway If you could choose where to be born : Norway If you want to be happy: I'd move to the Netherlands or Denmark. Australia if whole world is an option If you are moving to another country, do not move to Norway, and here is why: We are socially "akward", or at least foreigners think so. we don't talk to strangers, or interact with ppl we don't know at all, which is why I don't really recommend moving here unless you are aware of that. We are not rude or anything, but some foreigners think so of us, because of the different culture. tldr; For a norwegian(and maybe all scandinavian), Norway is great, as you won't see the culture as wierd. If you are a foreigner, Norway won't be so good socialy.

Would it be different, say, if you were dating someone from the Nordic region? I'm currently dating someone native to Iceland and we'd like to live in Norway one day. He has family in Norway and speaks a little Norwegian, too. Personally I don't see a problem with this, though. Norway is one of my top vacation/living destinations and just having a comfy apartment or small house somewhere scenic would be good enough for me. Love mountainous/snowy/boreal places like here in BC, Canada. Never had a taste for hot or tropical areas...

Not to worry. What he means is that we're like virgins having sex for the first time when it comes to being easy to socialize with. Once any fellow Norwegian gets to know you, it's like any friendship. You've just got to crack open the egg first. Or something. I dont know. Best way to befriend a Norwegian is to take initiative.
2014-12-25 12:35
It doesn't apply for Scandinavians and Americans so you should be fine. People from Northern Norway is also known to be far more than welcoming and easier to approach.

Norway and Switzerland by far. Don't forget about tiny Iceland! People always seem to forget about Iceland despite them topping everywhere in per-capita statistics. Sure that doesn't mean EVERYTHING (especially considering the low population) but it definitely shows how great the quality of life is there. Plus, there is relatively NO crime there, too.
2014-12-25 05:50
I think Denmark would be the go-to response here. We have a high level of social security, a pretty alright paygrade (cba finding actual numbers, but our minimal wage must be up there), a free education system (well, even better. we actually get paid to study) and above all; we're ranked the happiest country on earth. Easy choice for me, even though I would like to live in the UK some day.
