12 eggs, cost in ur country?
Sweden ("__'')
here in sweden 12 eggs are about 28 SEK, which is 3euro or 3.4 dollars. some muricans say 12 eggs over there costs about 50 cents which is 7 times cheaper. this is fucking horseshit what the fuck?
2015-01-24 19:12
Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
it's not 50 cents, they're lying. eggs are like 2-4 dollars per dozen.

Yeah I would say the average cost of a dozen eggs is around $2.5 in USA. May vary depending where you live in the country.
2015-01-24 19:39
12 eggs for 28kr must be organic eggs.

they definitely charge 200% more for the same damn egg after calling it organic. hate that shit.

Lol dude. There is a difference. Organic eggs are from chickens who werent fed with GMO shit. Atleast it is organic in Denmark if its labeled.

Thats your choice mate ;)
2015-01-24 21:05
Or are u just saying that there is no difference from feeding the chicken with GMO or real corn?
2015-01-24 21:03

my personal opinion is that I don't think there is a difference between feeding a chicken with gmo corn and normal corn. i don't buy into the hysteria surrounding gmos at all. i was only giving you a hard time, though.

GMO is no different from normal food, except it grows faster and resists cold better, etc.

Lmao, it is fucking different. Do your research.
2015-01-24 21:06

If you've really done your research you'd know both sides have studies supporting them. AKA it's inconclusive. If you were to say "I support non-GMO foods because they result in less damage to our environment during the production phase." Then that's sound.

I'm very open to unproven things being proven. Please link it what you've read and please quote the parts indicating which other institutions have referred to that study/article. Really should've been in your very first reply to me.. :S I do buy GMO foods, but I do so knowing what exactly are my PROVEN benefits. And what are my POTENTIAL benefits. Huge difference..

Lmao, im not saving any links. Nor do i have any quotes. But keep eating GMO and other non-organic shit if u think it has zero impact on your health :)

Why are you talking shit? Literally being a smartass for no reason when you can just be a normal person and have a conversation. Why even post? I already implied I buy it to reduce my environmental impact. I live in an agriculturally heavy state with water issues. It plays a part. You're just sounding stupid. I never said GMOs absolutely do not cause health problems. I clearly said there's evidence for both sides..

If you were to say "I support non-GMO foods because they result in less damage to our environment during the production phase." Implying that it is only dangerous for the enviroment.

Look, you still haven't proven that GMOs are a direct link to negative human health effects. Give me an example of an ACTUAL health effect besides saying, it's good for you. HOW is it good for you? Like I said, there are plenty of studies supporting BOTH sides of the GMO argument. That means the evidence is inconclusive and cannot be seen as a scientific fact yet. I really don't know how simpler i can say this.

First comment on that study which btw isn't third party backed and actually supported by a interest group. "RE: 2. DNA From Genetically Modified Crops Can Be Transferred Into Humans Who Eat Them An interesting paper if it were true, but seems to be quite flawed. Some simpler explanations for their findings can be found here: biofortified.org/2014/10/review-of-compl.. plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371.. biomedcentral.com/1741-7007/12/87/abstra.. TL;don’t wanna read these^: -the authors lack very important controls in their experiments -the experiments are carried out on TINY amounts of DNA making it much more easy for contamination to be a problem. Please read into ancient DNA studies and what they have to do to eliminate contamination. (also I’ve personally had problems with DNA in ‘sterile’ water.) *I have no competing interests in posting this comment." In fact, read all the comments on that blog. It should be a red flag if people posting in a INTEREST GROUP website are pointing out flaws of an article.

GMO has side-effects, don't fool yourself. For example, grains that have been genetically modified to be shorter (they do this because it's less likely to be affected by wind, and other things that may prevent harvesting or destroy/limit harvesting), also have the capability to inhibit growth. You are what you eat, isn't just a saying, there's a truth, or atleast a partial truth in it. Not saying eating GMO modified foods will make you sick, i do believe it can be the answer in some areas of the world - But the quality of the product will often suffer. "Pågen" uses it in their bread, and there's a clear difference - Unless they really are that clueless when it comes to baking X) (Gifflar excluded :D)

10 eggs = 1,19 euro so 12 eggs is somewere aroud 1,40 euro. But there is a big price diverence in Holland. I buy cheap eggs, and those chickens are not very happy. The price of eggs can be much higher if you want eggs from happy chickens, who can walk outside and eat biological corn. But I have to feed 5 kids, so sorry for the chickens but I buy the cheap eggs.
