Judges for most of these contests are gay anyway, they judge women on proportions, and want tall broad-shouldered, confident women. When in real life, most straight men don't go for this type. yeah you're right, the term latin should indicate "people who speaks a language that comes from latin.". But nowadays when i think of latin people i think of people from Latin America countries, hispanic the same thing. Even though mexican people are Hispanic, you can easily distinguish a Mexican woman from a Spanish woman. And the difference between a Mexican woman and a Portuguese woman is even bigger. So i dont think that womans from Columbia, Venezuela, Mexico,etc are similar to womans from Portugal. IMO at least.

You are wrong because Latin American is really big. For example: Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil (especially the South and South-east regions, but not exclusively) have a lot of italians and germans besides other etnic groups like ukrainian, poles and russians... There are a lot of hispanics/lusitans in latin america, that are not mixed, then I am pretty sure you couldn't notice the difference between a portuguese woman from Portugal and a 'portuguese'(about ancestry) woman from Brazil. The same for Mexico and other countries in latin america, but those I listed are the one I know the most and the 'white' population is notable big. In south of Brazil, there are probably more white people than in whole France. lol
