I actually have a great amount of friends who are more than "just your average bartender". People who studies the craft, they go to bartender schools in England, USA etc. And then they compete at world championships.
But yeah, being a DJ is very monotome actually. Playing top hits, doing whatever drunk people want you to. That's why I stopped and started producing - doing my own thing and then rarely gigging, making it a showcase at local clubs.
But yeah, I've also more or less lost interest in going out. I guess partly being a DJ, getting a GF and being 23. So I'm not as mesmerized by clubbing as I was, which takes away a lot of the shine.
However, if you love what you do, that's awesome. You should defo stick to it, and being a bartender has such a high amount of potential of career possibilities. So keep at it man!
