Here comes sythentik with the insane underdog win vs CLG a subpar invite team who finally needs to revamp their entire roster and not pick up ESEA all stars.

Koosta is the type of player to be really strong vs really weak players and to be really weak vs top players. Of course i's easier to play vs a random player than vs s1mple but that phenomene of performing really well vs weak players and perform awfully vs top players is really pronounced with Koosta. It's like his results drastically decrease if the team he is playing against is better than Tier 2 NA or Tier 4 EU. Even against T2 NA/T4 EU the results are starting to get shaky, but vs weaker teams he is performing so well.
2016-09-02 13:50
So faze, who he was dominant against, are tier 4 EU? I agree he's worse overall against better competition (but like a lot of people). He just needs more experience against these better opponents though and he'll probably improve over time.

It happens. At major for example if i recall it correctly he was awful (i know the whole team was awful but he was under the rest of the team, maybe not worse than Pita but still). He used to be a really strong player on NME but he has never confirmed that on a better team like Liquid. Even on CLG he has never felt more than average. (and maybe barely average). He is the type of player who shines on a weak team playing being the star player vs weaker teams, but seems to struggle not being a support/random player into a strong team, even more when facing stronger teams. EDIT : agree with you on the second part, but for example Stewie wasn't amazing at all on C9 at the beginning (even online he wasn't doing good), his first LAN was almost a disaster (i remember when he failed to knife someone not moving on Train in the back and barely could switch to his AK and make a shaky spray to kill his opponent and avoid death vs a non moving opponent who had to do an 180 to fight Stewie) and he improved tremendously. Koosta never got through that (i'm not telling he still has the pressure he had on his first LAN but he hasn't reach the point of being able to perform semi-consistently vs good teams on LAN).

Even on CLG he has never felt more than average. (and maybe barely average). Clearly you haven't been watching CLG games. At major for example if i recall it correctly he was awful (i know the whole team was awful but he was under the rest of the team, maybe not worse than Pita but still). I hope you realize this was his 3rd big international LAN, and 1st major. He was dominating vs gambit on CT side, and choked on T side due to the pressure of being on LAN. (i remember when he failed to knife someone not moving on Train in the back and barely could switch to his AK and make a shaky spray to kill his opponent and avoid death vs a non moving opponent who had to do an 180 to fight Stewie) Whiffing happens to everyone. I mean everyone. Stewie was only bad on LAn for like 1 event, let's be honest. Koosta never got through that (i'm not telling he still has the pressure he had on his first LAN but he hasn't reach the point of being able to perform semi-consistently vs good teams on LAN). 2016-09-02 18:13:25 Clearly you don't watch CLG games. Summary - You don't watch CLG games, you blindly look at stats. You don't realize the opening picks he gets to give them an early advantage. You LITERALLY look at stats I bet, and don't send me 1 or 2 examples of why he did bad in 1 or 2 games. Koosta is the only reason CLG are even a pro team at the moment.

Yeah maybe i was wrong about koosta on CLG but you reply 5 months later so i guess things have changed. At the time of my message (5 months ago) maybe i wasn't totally far from the truth but i have to admit i feel like koosta has improved since (or maybe he didn't and he was just better than i thought he was in september last year)
