You will be dissapointed. Giants isn't even a portuguese team because Blastinho is the main awper instead OBJ. We have a lot of talent here but no one risk and invest in CS. The problem we dont have any professional full pt team. But I hope that will be better.

What is your opinion on match fixing in CS:GO in general? I read the comments in the match threads everyday and people are saying that every match is fixed and the tournament organizers are farming money from live bets...etc. I think this is just absolute delusion, but there are some insane things that have occurred the past few days. I'm really not sure. I just like to see evidence before believing in conspiracy theories.
2018-07-14 13:34
There has to me some games that are fixed, sure I'll agree to that but not these games. These are paid pro players, who probably wants to beat their rivals (Spanish LAN) and they really don't have anything to win by fixing a game like this. If they want to fix a game, they can fix an online game or whatever, but not a LAN championship Grand Final. I think fixing occurs, but people are delusional. It doesn't occur at the higher level (my opinion) and LAN finals like these. EU MDL is where I'd draw the line, anything below that is riskier and the players have more to win by fixing matches rather than the top level, and now we're talking online play. For example, a team with a few ''old'' pros or people that know they probably won't make it to a top team in their cs career, has less to lose by making lets say a quick 500 bucks on fixing a result. Now, matches below the EU MDL level definitely aren't always fixed of course, most isn't. But below that level of play, you're more likely to run into a ''fixed'' game compared to on a higher level of play. I don't focus to much on it, if I win I win, if I lose I lose, that's it and I can't change that. I bet knowing I can lose, I won't blame a fix without any proof or anything at all to back my claim up.
2018-07-14 13:41
Let me chime in on this one, I am just like you, I cant be sure of whether shady things are happening or not, but let me tell you that if people found a way to make money especially without any legal repercussions then they would def exploit it since eSports is unregulated (many loopholes with no laws) and its a money farm, dont listen to the bs lurppis is saying about how orgs are losing money on teams, thats just the pinnacle of bullshit, no business is gonna keep losing money and still pay out big salaries, provide a house, buy a brand, host a big event, etc.. and you see that ALL the big orgs in CS GO have a bookmaker as a sponsor, some sites share markets because theyre owned by the same company for example vitalbet and ebettle both proven to have scammed people out of their money by closing their accounts with no response, in this case there is ggbet sponsoring North and NaVi, betway NiP, LEON Gambit, etc etc.. they can definitely manipulate the outcome depending on who the market is on, specially when two teams sponsored by the same bookie play, because the bookie is paying the winnings from their pockets, even though they take a cut from each market etc but if there was 1m$ on a 1.5 odds NiP vs 100k$ on a 2.5 odds some team then the bookie would profit from NiP losing because then they would need to pay out 150k$ in winnings for "some team" backers while keeping the total 1m$ bet on NiP, thats 850k$ profit, dont forget that sites with big reputations like OPSkins were helping JoshOG and phantomlord and syndicate cashout their stolen skins from their rigged gambling sites, add to that the other cheating scandals etc, eSports or at least I can speak for Dota2 and CS GO is the most shady discipline you can ever have, orgs owning more than 2 teams like RFRSH and ESForce etc, and also hosting events like EPICENTER, I can go on and on but I already said much, the bookmakers are the sponsors that pay lot more than any other sponsor so they pay the salaries and most of the other expenses (travel, house, etc..) so if your boss tells you to do something, you do it, the bs association thats supposed to "regulate" eSports is controlled by ESL's ex-board members which is the biggest joke ever..

You are definitely right, man. There are so many shady things going on around CS:GO in general. CS teams are definitely VERY profitable, because as you mentioned, the top tier players are getting insane paycheques + luxury "Gaming Houses", etc. I really dislike how all of the top teams also have those shady betting sites as a sponsor. I don't know about in real sports, do football clubs have bookmakers sponsoring them? I definitely could see these sites rigging the matches, especially when they are sponsoring multiple teams who are playing in the same tournament, or against each other. I just don't know how the players would be able to hide this so well. Most of these guys are just fucking nerds who played video games all day in their room and don't have any experience interacting in a social environment, so how would they be able to fake their emotions, etc in interviews, or even keep it under wraps so well? I assume they would out of fear for their own job, but with hundreds of players, surely at least one would have leaked something by now? Unless this is a huge underground mafia operation, and these players are fearing for their lives if they expose this. I agree that ESForce and RFRSH are very shady and the entire WESA association that is supposed to regulate CS:GO is all bullshit, but how far does it really go? Have any of the players actually been forced to fix games? I wonder.

I was also wondering who you had for KPI/Lions, obviously KPI should be favoured as they beat Spirit and took Kinguin to OT, but that was over 2 months ago and at this spanish LAN it's all upsets. I am thinking lions ML.

The match was removed from bet365 before I got to bet so I haven't really thought of the match.

Who are you betting on for North vs LG? I will probably take LG to win and bet individual maps. What are your thoughts?

Going for that 2-0 North. Huge map pool advantage, longer standing lineup (mixwell) and they're playing some good counterstrike at the moment. I feel like LG's win came of just individual play after play and winning duel after duel. Won't be as consistent versus a team with high individual skill. It's either that or Match winner LG, I'm going to go for the 2-0 North although it might not work out, we'll see.

I don't really think map pool matters in CS tbh, it's all pretty random, and anyone can win. I also think that HEN1, Lucas, NEKIZ can equal Kjaerbye, valde and aizy.

Kinda impressive to lose that round at 13-12 on Nuke, just a 4 v 2 and the BIGGEST whiff I've seen in a while in the 1 v 1. Would've secured a 2-0 win. Losing a 4 v 1 on matchpoint. Loses a 4 v 1 in the second pistolround on dust 2. I mean honestly, Giants doesn't deserve the win, at least that makes me slightly less tilted about it.

alex might be the one who fragged the most for giants, but he's also the one who lost the game in that round on nuke
