That was with a jetlagged bravado, getting drunk the night before, not caring, having their eyes on international stuff etc. The was just a fluke luck. Their meeting after that was a convincing defeat and since then Bravado has gone to world #27..... where Energy has remained stagnant. You remember when Alliance won TI and then disappeared off the map for 2 years. Yeah... use your brain. The gap between bravado and energy is about the gap between Astralis and Bravado right now.

eNergy are no worse than Bravado. If so, just slightly. The fact that Bravado got themselves in the USA to compete on a higher level makes it seem like they're far better but that's actually not entirely true. hltv.org/matches/2315679/bravado-vs-ener.. 9 out of the 10 players that are currently on the server played this BO3 about a year ago before Bravado moved out and this same Bravado lineup got completely trashed on that BO5.
2018-12-21 19:22
you're braindead if you think they are near in skill. Your match you posted was before bravado went to US for a year and literally upped their skill level by a factor of 5. They went from competing against world top 200, to convincingly beating world top 30 teams consistantly. Referring to a map played more than a year ago is braindead. It's like saying no one can beat Alliance in Dota because they won TI, 10 years ago.

But has Alliance kept the same squad in the same meta in the meantime? Don't even watch Dota but I bet not. Bravado improved for sure, but it's not like they changed a whole lot. Are they a better team than Energy? Probably yes, but they're not far beyond and unless you're too much of a fanboy you know that they're inconsistent as hell, I don't know why you state that they beat top 30 teams consistently while it's a fact that they can easily beat a top 30 team and drop off massively against top 50 right after. The big factor in why they went from #90+ to #28 in the rankings now was being able to compete in events that NA teams could attend and SA teams couldn't + getting relevancy from the US scene as people will obviously be looking for a foreign team to do good in an American league and that gets them invitations for decent events + a very good unexpected run at DreamHack Winter 2018, which I don't want to call it a fluke but you'd be an hypocrite if you told me Bravado beat OpTic and G2 because they're the better team. I also like Bravado, I'm South African by heart (Mozambican by blood, have a shit load in common with SA) but I don't want to overextend their hype because I feel like with experience they can still grow much more.
2018-12-22 15:29
No one is extending the hype. This is just objective fact. The team has a year of consistent international experience compared to energy with none. The level that energy has to compete at is far below their own skill and therefore they remain stagnant. Bravado is a MUCH better team than Energy. Also, Alliance had the exact same roster when they were coming dead last in majors after TI. The fact that you say "they haven't changed a whole lot" shows you don't know anything at all. No discussion further needed.

I've been following Bravado consistently since JT joined the roster. The fact that I've got a different standpoint from you doesn't mean that you own the truth and I don't know anything. I'm sure they've gotten better, just don't agree that they've gotten THAT much better as people sometimes make them be.
2018-12-23 14:42
That makes no sense, almost any team in the world that has an underdeveloped scene would benefit from moving to the US. Just look at all the BR teams.

That's absolutely obvious. They took great benefit from moving to the US, how do I state otherwise? What I mean is that before they travelled to the US they were sometimes even worse than eNergy, and now they're better, although the gap isn't that big.
2018-12-22 21:52
My post was responding to your first post, but to compare Bravado to Energy is ridiculous. Energy has some great players but Bravado has been grinding in NA for a year now and are a much better team. Respond to this thread when Energy beats Bravado in a map, let alone a BO3. Doesn't matter if Energy has some good players, Bravado has much more experience and training.
