Can someone explain to me how ECS work? I don't know if you guys are informed about what is happening, but for me something doesn't feel quite right in ECS season 7. In ECS website, they state the following: "The ECS regular season consists of five online series eight-team single elimination brackets per region. Top eight teams from ECS Season 6 will have priority slots for each series. Any open slots will be filled by the ECS Season 6 ninth and tenth placed teams and the Challenger Teams. The winners of the first three series will qualify automatically for the ECS Season 7 Finals." Ok, that seems fine, a bit weid but whatever... What I can't understand is the fact that team Liquid had $750 more than MiBR at the start of week 4. When I looked into it I noticed that Liquid played on Week 1 and that's where they got their $750. But my question is: If ECS states that the top eight teams from ECS Season 6 will have priority slots for each series and MiBR finished second on Season 6, why didn't they play at week 1, 2 or 3? I don't understand why Liquid (that finished 7th-8th on S6), NRG (that finished 5th-6th), Rogue, Complexity, and Furia (that didn't even make it to the finals) had priority over MiBR on the first 3 weeks. Did something happened that I'm not aware of?

They could skip playing any week, so other teams from qualifiers would play in it. Mibr were in a lot of camps those weeks, so that's it.
