i remember everyboody were making fun of team and also us fans. threads after threads i was just tired of that shxt :) yet still i believe those days were much more emotional probably because our expectations were too low that even 1 win wouldve made us happy now i just want them to win trophies thats it:D

| FAZE_FAN_FROM_EUWell just as you said 19-20 there were zero expectations therefore no nerves or huge frustration of wasted potential and for me personaly I just waited for Niko to leave because the moment he took IGLing from karrigan I knew it would fail miserably.
17-18 was truly wasted potential line up of olof, rain, guardian, niko and karrigan is the greatest line up to not win a major. Faze could be true era team winning multiple majors and dominating instead of Astralis, but they got pretty unlucky with someone always having game of his life and overperforming like crazy (f0rest in Oakland, Skadoodle in Boston, Flusha in Katowice), performances from players that were never witness ever again after that day. Olof and karrigan said it in interviews that Boston final was still ok to lose mentally, because shit happens and they recovered pretty well, but Katowice final truly broke Faze's spirit definitely and they never recovered from that.
Olof taking leave for months in such crucial moment when team needed to stick together and bite the bullet to reset mentally was also worse case scenario, since team had to use different stand-ins and karrigan didn't put new things into practise and team essentially lost faith in his calling which lead to the end of the roster. Sure someone could argue if they didn't have resilience they were not true champions, but I honestly can't even imagine the tilt from all those 2nd places, I as fan felt like absolute shit so I can't even imagine what players went thru. Losing either to SK and once brazilians fell of they lose major final 15:11 to overperfoming team with cheating crowd against them and then that Kato final with flusha's life map on decider train, first ever grand slam slipping away by one round was just cherry on top of this huge disaster. No team would withstand that and not starting asking question if this roster isn't cursed.

losing both major and katowice in few months in that fashion was actually brutal thankfully i wasnt introduced to the csgo back in 18 but the videos and documentaries about them still haunts me as a fan
still im really happy that theyve gotten what they deserved. i remember back in 2021 when olof was there in one of those interviews olof made fun of rain and said how many majors do you have and rain had nothing to say later that year he won his first major + he has gotten his major mvp award
honestly i mightve not earned anything from them but im forever grateful for the moments and memories theyve made for us
their story was really inspiring, from losing to big and mibr in pandemic to winning the major and grand slam these are the memories that gives me passion and motivation for life and i will never forget them ever!!!

I literally had to take pause from watching cs for some time during covid, so trust me it was much worse than 2019-2020, but as I said I didn’t expect anything from Niko’s shitshow so I understand someone having different opinion.
