CRG had defeated Infused in the upper bracket semi-final, but when the two met again in the lower bracket their fates were reversed as it was Infused who came out on top to clinch a spot in the grand final.

Told you, Infused picked up the wrong team. Random noobs.
2013-02-18 18:56
is Infused a big orga anyway?
2013-02-18 20:41
It seems like a faithful organization with lack of resources. It´s not huge like internationally.
2013-02-19 01:47
It's not a big orga, they send teams to a couple of lans, but not all of them. But yeah, they are faithful to the team they take in their rosters.
2013-02-19 11:47
So if it's not big then it's no big deal they didn't pick a bigger team

it's probably harder then you think, since you can't get the best out of new team, who knows if they played like a mix, it would've been better, but first months isn't the product of dedication. at least, they will gain exp. Which can't be gained by fapping home, talking about teams, while you have none.

people laughing, think people need to recognise the standard of UK players in this game is quite a bit higher than people expect. Can see CRG doing some damage at vienna.. we improved and learnt a lot since iseries and there are a few other teams who are gonna be competing at a good level from the UK.

UK haven't showed a decent level at 1.6 (Excluding few names), and mostly of GO players or people who just follow the scene here are 1.6 base, that's why you see a lot of guys flaming UK teams/players. Hope that happens, plenty tired of NiP's reign of terror.
2013-02-19 01:19
yeah but tbh there was ONE team sponsored who could go anywhere and that was 4k and instead of investing time in uk players, they quite simply went for foreigners. So all the other UK players / teams were left with no where to go. Until we beat 4kings in 2007 which then helped ODEE grab the intel sponsorship off 4kings, which then lead to us going and competing at ESWC 2007 as our first international event and coming 9-12th with a respectable draw vs NiP and beating emulate. We then moved onto source, and a lot of those players from that team then went on into cgs season 2 and won the biggest counterstrike tournament the world has ever seen. The uk has some outstanding players, but sponsorship wise we have lacked, not only that but our events have lacked real sponsorship as well.... If you look at epic lan organisers they are ocmplaining about the marketing aspect of gaming companies in the UK right now as well. It's near impossible to get any of the UK companies to part with money in esports marketing. But when we do get a chance and we do build up a scene we always compete at the highest of levels. The UK CSGO scene currently has probably 4-5 teams who could compete imo.. Ourselves , overrated individuals , crg and London Lynx are all definately good enough to compete on the European level, But whereas u see 3-4 danish teams coming to events, you will probably only ever see 1 UK team going. Its a shame :(. TeX 09 had 4 UK teams at it, we had 2 top 10s and a 2nd place. LAN79 we had 4 uk teams reach top 10 and a 3rd place finish. The UK scene only looks bleak cause of the lack of sponsorship here. Individually as players imo we have some of the best.

Do remember the ESWC 2007, I was naturally rooting for MiBR who fails to beat the former NoA in inferno (Also train) which the game was 15-8 in MiBR's favour (FUCK!) but anyways on topic, I remember the game vs NiP that was incridible, Dignitas was rated with about 30% of changes and still managed to tie (could possibly beat'em). Also in the last UK 1.6 event Free Agents beat a Swe mix with GTR, which was impresive, everyone was calling them onliners and they still managed to beat them. Well UK scene is pretty sad in terms of sponsorship, more like Brazil since 2008... But anyways, which you UK guys the best, time to change the winners face for awhile, hopping for OI / Your Team / ESC and Na`Vi to screw everyones beats on this forum hahaha.. gl
