ProGaming.TD have officially confirmed the additions of Felipe "fbm" Mengue and Wilton "zews" de Almeida to their CS:GO division.

The Brazilian giants had been on the lookout for a new player to complete the team after Rafael "zakk" Fernandes stepped down from the active lineup in January due to him enrolling at a local university.

After that, ProGaming.TD were reduced to a three-man roster after parting company with Raphael "cogu" Camargo, who has already found a new home in paiN.

Earlier in the month, paiN member Felippe "felippe1" Martins confirmed that Felipe "fbm" Mengue had left the team to link up with ProGaming.TD, and the move has now been confirmed by Lucas "Steel" Lopes' side.

It has also been announced that Wilton "zews" Prado, a former member of Yeah! and TeamTD, will complete the team.

"First of all, cogu was not released because if his ingame performances," Caio "zqk" Fonseca said. "At this point I believe we just do not share the same goals.

"What we learned from him during all these months was very important for my growth as a player and as ingame leader, and the same thing happened with the other players on the team.

"fbm and zews are two of the most dedicated and skilled players right now. We have already started practicing and in the next few months we hope that CS:GO will grow in Brazil.

"New tournaments, new teams, new faces. That is what we need and rest assured that we will help that to happen."

ProGaming.TD now have the following lineup:

Brazil Lucas "Steel" Lopes
Brazil Caio "zqk" Fonseca
Brazil Caio "rkz" Sinigagli
Brazil Felipe "fbm" Mengue
Brazil Wilton "zews" de Almeida

Not good:)

Not too late at all, and it just happened sir.

I never said it would not happen, but that it is too late and I stand by that. It's just gonna take too much time for them to adapt to cs:go (though FalleN already started playing earlier) and they won't be competitive for a while.

You know all the old 1.6 teams wern't all playing it the first yrs it was out right? Game's still new, hell it's not even finished yet lol. You're right though that it won't be for a while...but them or others will get up there (I hope navi does work).
2013-02-21 18:41
I'm not saying they cannot cope with the others, but for now cs:go is far from looking as promising as cs did, which means that they have to be pretty fast and considering how tough it was for ESC (a top3 team in 1.6) to adapt, it should take quite a long time for playArt, especially when you think about the lack of competition in South America. I'm just not sure they have enough time ahead of them to make the switch
