Savage retires; TyLoo switch to GO

March 2nd, 2013 11:11

TyLoo have announced on their official website that they have jumped on the CS:GO bandgwagon as their 1.6 division has switched to the new game.

The Chinese team were always a top performer in 1.6, and even though they found success hard to come by outside of Asia, their chances could never be written off by anyone.

TyLoo's decision to switch to CS:GO will hopefully start a new trend in Asia, where CS:Online is still widely popular. The organisation stated, however, that the team will be playing both games.

Savage won't play CS:GO

Not all players will make the transition to the new game, though, as Bin "Savage" Liu, one of China's most decorated CS talents, has retired from gaming, joining BingYuan "tb" Li and XueFeng "xf" Lai in making this call.

In one of their last events, TyLoo came out on top of WCG 2012 in CSO to win $25,000.

TyLoo now have the following team:

China Likan "KingZ" Luo
China Ke "Mo" Liu
China Huang "Rita" Biaohong
China Huang "HZ" Zhen
China Hui "QHZ" Wu

In China RTS and RPG games are more popular than FPS games. More than one million people play DOTA at any time but only a few play CS.
2013-03-04 00:42
finally...i hope they attend some LAN events soon...asian teams have the potential but need exposure

these guys made really sick 1.6 tactics and were very creative. So thats the same that Euros play different from Americans etc. Go search for some matches between Asians and EUros for example :). ull get my point then.

The stupid csonline which is currently dominating the market will prevent this from happening at any cost.
2013-03-02 19:02
Kingz and rita I know they are top notch players. Dont really know about the others. I hope to start a new trend just to see koreans and chinese doing those great attacking csgo they will do good
2013-03-02 11:46
good for the cs:go scene
2013-03-02 11:47
Would be really great if Asia transitioned to CS:GO from CS:O, it would really create more global scene, also numbers would increase immensely and could eventually lead to CS:GO at IEM in a year.

HLTV guys, just a quick shout out from a guy living in China, the names should be as followed: Li "KingZ" Kan Luo Huang "Rita" Biao Hong Assuming that Li and Huang are the family names, they still come first in Chinese, Biaohong should be Biao Hong and Likan should be Li Kan.
2013-03-02 13:59
good look though. savage was by far the best chinese player.
2013-03-02 14:04

2013-03-02 23:24
wonder how qhz will be in csgo. if you watch qhz's demos in 1.6, he does a lot of bicycle jumps and crouch hopping in his movements, that probably won't work out too well in go for him. we ll see
2013-03-03 01:05
ye... Just waiting for that 1.6 dies... Now its just dying... sloooooowly
2013-03-03 01:29
wNv jungle was the best 1.6 player in asia ever. and defo in the top 3 awpers ever to play cs. anyone remember the days of 2005/6 when wNv won the WEG masters back to back and dominated every team in their path. give it time and im sure a chinese team will rise in go and wipe the floor with alot of teams.
