NiP win RaidCall EMS One Finals

April 14th, 2013 18:22

NiP has clinched a first place and $12,000 at RaidCall EMS One Spring 2013 Finals with a 2-0 (16-6 de_dust2_se, 16-7 de_nuke_se) win over fnatic in the grand final.

Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg opened up the grand final with four kills on the terrorist side pistol round of de_dust2_se. Lasse "stingeR" Midstue's two kills gave NiP a scare, but they survived it to gain a 3-0 lead.

Fourth round say Adam "friberg" Friberg score two entry kills in the middle, matched up by Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, but ultimately it was once again Lindberg who came out on top with a one-on-two clutch.

fnatic then lost control of the B site quickly and were only able to save a gun, as NiP chased them down for a 6-0 lead. The Swedes went up 8-0 before Martin "trace" Heldt's four M4A4 kills gave fnatic a round.

NiP quickly broke fnatic's money by taking over catwalk for a 9-1 lead, and a win versus a save round made it 10-1. The Danes had a chance to get back into the game as they won the next round, but Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson's one-on-two clutch forced fnatic on yet another save.

f0rest as a major component in yet another NiP win

The Ninjas ran their lead up to 12-2 before fnatic won the final round of the half, thanks to a triple kill from Michael "Friis" Jørgensen, to give them some breathing room with a 3-12 score.

The team in black and orange won the terrorist pistol and despite NiP's shotgun buys got a 3-0 lead of their own to start the half, but once again it was Lindberg who ruined the party with three kills on round four.

Alesund then pushed lower B tunnels for two kills of his, Johansson scored four kills versus a save round to give them map point and and Friberg together with Alesund clutched a two-on-two to end the map with a comfortable 16-6 win.

NiP continued rolling on de_nuke_se as they quickly opened up the map with a terrorist pistol win and a 3-0 lead despite fnatic's third round MAG7 buy with a saved Galil.

The Swedes took out fnatic's defense on the fourth round, and Jørgensen wasn't able to get kills with his AWP on the following two rounds either, as NiP extended their lead to 6-0.

NiP going over strats prior to the grand final

Lindberg & co won one more reasy round before fnatic stepped in with five round of their own, including a round where NiP ran out of time and an unsuccessful one-on-three attempt by Alesund.

Johansson broke fnatic's streak with a one-on-one clutch of his own to make it 5-8, and Heldt lost a one-on-two next round. Last round of the half saw fnatic get an easy win for a 6-9 half.

The Danes were completely shut down on their ramp push pistol round by NiP, and two saves quickly made the score 6-12 before Midstrue's one-on-two heroics gave fnatic their only round of the half.

Alesund won an important one-on-two situation in the lower bombsite against two low health fnatic players for game point, and the game ended with Johansson taking down Midstue for their sixteen round win at 16-7.

2013-04-14 21:10
nice joke. Fnatic top10 max.
2013-04-15 04:39
it was expected that 1.NIP 2.fnatic since bracket is up on hltv. but it was no good job by fnatic tbh. mediocre even compares with themselves.
2013-04-14 18:34
lol they were lucky against aL and lucky that they didnt face VG earlier to be raped as usual
2013-04-14 19:24
Best match was Anexis vs VG. Gratz NiP and good luck in Dallas next weekend :)
2013-04-14 18:27
they don't need luck since VP got replaced by ESC :)
2013-04-14 18:29

2013-04-14 18:34
so easy without vp
2013-04-14 18:27

2013-04-14 18:33
2013-04-14 18:46
Very boring finals. NiP vs VG was quite more interesting.. but that's a shame no one is still able to give NiP a really GOOD fight except for VG was close to do it today , but Ex6TenZ was terrible today and VG had some bad calls that made them lose important rounds ... they could actually win dust2 easily unless they made those stupid calls. I just hope CS:GO will develop faster than it does now .. it becomes quite boring to see NiP matches.
2013-04-14 18:34
I was watching dust2 on aAaTV and they really put too much pressure on themselves... When they won their 12th round : Ex6 : "We can take the map. But it's nothing, one map is nothing guys, we still have a mountain to climb !" When they won their 14th round : Ex6 : "Ok, important round !" And when they lost the next one, I could hear NiP cheering through their headset... In comparison to NiP, they are so stressed up it seems like they can't even play their own game.
2013-04-15 16:41
They should definitely be more calm. I have no clue what Ex6TenZ was thinking, but he destroyed this match for VeryGames that's for sure. kennyS won a HUGE round for them when they were on T side defending the bomb on bombsite B , he made some amazing AWP shots and when they won the round, it was their moment - a moment they had to use in order to finish this match to their favour ... and they couldn't do it because of BIG mistakes and bad calls by Ex6TenZ. VeryGames is a good team , they have some great key players such as ScreaM and kennyS , they can beat NiP .. but they will not be able to do it until they learn to be more calm and make the right calls in crucial rounds.
2013-04-15 18:27
It's not that I find the same team winning boring, I just find NiP boring. Even f0rest has lost his personality in that lineup.
2013-04-14 18:35
Slovakia xarc
this is so boring, always NiP wins.

let us be true csgo has only 2 years and nip is the kind that works more in csgo when other teams just played great game for the money is to be effective as nip would not be boring
2013-04-14 18:39
Are you kidding me??? Barely a week has passed and nip is back to its evil ways? You know what? I'm not gonna blame nip this time. I'm gonna blame Virtuspro cause they weren't here to stop them. From now on every boring finale with nip is entirely virtuspro's fault!!!!!

Absolute Legends would have given NIP a better game than VG/Fanatic imo. Less precise and thoughtout tactics than the other teams but simply better fraggers who react more instinctively to situations. NIP couldn't pre-prapre for them and would have lost more 1vsX and aim battles.
