Dimitrios "stavros" Smoilis has confirmed to HLTV.org that he has parted company with mousesports.
The decision comes as a major surprise as the Greek player had returned to mousesports just two weeks ago, a move that appearead to end all hopes of the TCM-Gaming squad ever making a comeback.
However, Smoilis was seen playing for the TCM mix who won the RADEON Offensive #2 online tournament at the weekend with the help of Richard "shoxie" Papillon and Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács.
Prior to the start of the tournament, Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff had posted on his Facebook page that Smoilis had parted company with the mouz, and the Greek ace has now confirmed the news to HLTV.org.
"What made me leave was the lack of trust they had in me because mouz owed me money from the last time I played with them, so I told them I wanted the money before I signed a contract, but they did not want that," Smoilis told HLTV.org.
"Moreover, my character still does not fit in this team. I thought some players might have changed but I guess I was wrong, and I did not want it to end like last time.
"We played the RADEON cup with the lineup that we had put together for the GeeX Festival. Since it was cancelled, we decided to play this cup.
"I guess no one thought it would be that easy to win because even though we have some sick players, we played against very good teams like Western Wolves.
"I would love to play with this lineup in the future, these guys are really good players and lovely persons, but I cannot say anything about what they think, so I guess we will have to wait and see what the future brings.
"I think it [the core of TCM] will play together, especially strux1 and myself, since it is very hard to imagine playing without him because he is a good friend of mine."
The news leaves mousesports in a hurry to find a new fifth player before the EPS Finals, which will take place at the ESL's TV studio in Cologne on May 11th.
mouz currently have the following lineup:
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Manuel "approx" Zeitz
Tobias "Troubley" Tabbert
Andre "nooky" Utesch
