Rak leaves ALTERNATE
Team ALTERNATE have confirmed via their website that Christian "Rak" Hermenau-Puhlvers has stepped down from the active lineup.
The news comes in the aftermath of ALTERNATE's disappointing performance at the EPS Finals in Cologne, with the German team entering the tournament as the top seed and finishing in fourth place following defeats to n!faculty and mousesports.
For several weeks now, speculation has been rife about the possibility of ALTERNATE undergoing roster changes at the EPS season's end as they have been in disappointing form on LAN.
At Copenhagen Games, the German team were sent packing in the second round of the Lower Bracket, winning just one match out of four in the Danish capital.

However, Hermenau-Puhlvers' decision to quit the team has nothing to do with their recent results as he stated he had been mulling over the matter for quite some time.
"For some time I flirted with the idea of leaving the team, and now the time has come: I will no longer play under ALTERNATE's flag," he told the team's website.
"The reasons for this are, on the one hand, the stress level caused by my studies and, on the other hand, the amount of time that CS:GO consumes, which has not been rewarded with any success, though.
"Whether I will continue to play CS:GO or retire will depend on many factors."
ALTERNATE have now been left with a four-man active roster that look the following:
Felix "fel1x" Zech
Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend
Manuel "mnL" Oberlein
Manuel "SolEk" Zeindler
Christian "Igor" Meyer (Backup)
