VeryGames have cemented their status as France's strongest team after coming out on top of the Masters Français du Jeu Vidéo finals.
The French event took place this weekend at Showroom LDLC.com in Paris, with the eight teams who racked up the most points during the LAN season attending the tournament.
The highlight of this tournament was without a doubt the WARMAKER mix team, who attended the event with former 1.6 ace Christophe "SIXER" Xia in addition to ex-LDLC duo Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez.
In the semi-final stage, WARMAKER gave a good account of themselves against VeryGames, but in the end the team led by Kevin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans picked up a 2-0 victory (16-9 on de_mirage_se and 16-12 on de_nuke_se).
VG moved on to the grand final, where they had to tackle Clan-Mystik, who had defeated Redzone 2-0 in the semis. Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's new team came out very strongly and won the first map, de_inferno_se, 16-10, but then the RaidCall EMS One champions responded and took the next two maps (16-14 on de_mirage_se and 19-16 on de_nuke_se) to run out 2-1 victors of this very close game.
MFJV final stadings:
1. VeryGames - €800
2. Clan-Mystik - €400
3. WARMAKER - €200
