AD come back; proceed to play-offs

Astana Dragons eliminate Reason Gaming from the tournament after coming back to win 16-13 on de_nuke. They will meet compLexity in the quarter-finals later on.

For the second time in the tournament, de_nuke was played, again picked by Astana Dragons, this time against Reason, who got off to a good start in the match for the second place.

Astana once again tried to take it slow in the first few gunrounds, which was decimated by Reason time after time, and the Danish squad started off 5-0.

Entry kills were piling in on the CIS team, as Morten "coloN" Johanssen dominated with his AWP outside, which forced Astana Dragons to push the upper bombsite a few times in a row. They weren't able to break through, as Reason continued sweeping the floor with their opponents.

The first round going in the way of Astana Dragons was after 9-0, although it was still as close as it could get, when Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen almost managed to win a one-versus-three retake.

AdreN's performance was key in the comeback

Only yet another wipeout on upper was standing in Astana's way, as they finally picked up the game after Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev's triple in the yard area.

After the teams switched sides, the Dragons kept racking up rounds after the won pistol with only one round exchanged for seven on the other side also thanks to Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov's triple under cat in a difficult situation.

Reason Gaming then decided for a slow push outside, thanks to which they were able to do a sneaky boost on cat, which helped them win a flawless round after an upper attack from three different directions.

That was all they could do though, as Astana Dragons picked up again to win all four rounds in quite an easy manner, making the final score 16-13.

1v1 from colon after A push, 4-0 after another antieco
another A push taken care of by reason, 5-0
AD getting picked off, 6-0, 7-0 after antieco
EXR getting two early kills outside, colon piling in, 8-0
yet another upper attack through hut and squeaky, 9-0
Finally a round went for astana dragons, even though msl was only inches away from winning a 1v3, 9-1
Another wipeout on upper, 10-1, 11-1 eco
adrens tripple against an agressive reason gaming makes it 11-2
colon firstfragging again outside, although not managing to win a 1v3, 11-3
astana picking up, 11-4
similar strat as Astana, quick push, 11-5
a deagle buy didnt pan out, 11-7
smf exr early opening outside, go down, 12-7
a quick agressive wipeout outside from AD, 12-8, 12-9 eco
reason getting picked everywhere, 12-10, 12-11 eco

a flawless round by reason thanks to a boost for cat, 13-12

again getting picked off, 13-14, forced to an eco, 13-15

Reason clearly lost on purpose, that's why they picked de_nuke
2013-11-29 18:31
What? The joke is that markeloff didn't play nuke on 1.6 since navi didn't pracc that map...
2013-11-29 18:39
I was making a joke about all the diehard AD fans that said they lost the earlier game on purpose because they didn't eliminate nuke.
2013-11-29 19:49
the funniest joke i have ever seen ... tks dude

so sad for [R]eason Gaming, they where underdogs and pass through BYOC against teams like mouseports, xapso , Nostalgie , Vox Eminor etc and 16-3 vs SK.Gaming, and both close matches vs Astana Dragons. gj both teams!
2013-11-29 18:31
yep, amazing lan for Reason, keep it up
2013-11-29 18:34
They didn't meet mousesports, xapso or Vox Eminor.
2013-11-29 18:36
they didnt meet them, but they passed through them! and with this preformance none of this teams is able to win against [R]eason.
2013-11-29 18:38
They didn't pass through them, xapso also qualified and mousesports/Voxe coul have beaten Reason for sure.
2013-11-29 18:41
[R]eason > Xapso , Vox , mousesports , Nostalgie
2013-11-29 18:45
It isn't suprise for me, some of Reason players played for ex-WW so they clearly know what is needed to be top team. Colon was always good player, in Go maybe better then he was in 1.6. And that's nice start for them, first LAN and good games if they continue they can be top5.
2013-11-29 18:38
yes but you cant compare markeloff, dosia, angel, delpan, twist, moddii with smf, lome, exr, msl! they did really great! and top5 i dont think so! top5 (unranked) are this Verygames NiP CPH Wolves Astana Dragons Fnatic
2013-11-29 18:43
top5 unranked are "nip vg nip vg nip"
2013-11-29 18:58
hahaha i totally agree with you! its by far the 2 best teams 1/2. VG/NiP . . . 6/7.CW/AD
2013-11-29 19:00
They are not top5 at this moment, but they can be if they continue with pracctice. LOMME - MSL > twist in past games(1.6 - S). And MSL prove that he is really good player.

this is a valuable achievement for a team that has been together for such a short time
2013-11-29 18:39
"valuable achievement"?? 13-16 & 11-16 against top3/4 Astana Dragons? 16-3 against SK.Gaming? they are not "superstars" like moddii twist markeloff delpan & dosia dude!

sk sucks dicks, AD are a stable top3-4 you're right and Reason is basically a mix-team cuz they play together for like 2 weeks or smth, so this is an achievement, yes.
2013-11-29 18:49
they have played together for 3-4 months now?:P

If ange1 could not tell peaking yard every round was a bad idea, I wonder how could he be a good igl. They should have someone less stubborn for that role. I'm glad they survived it, though.

the round when they pushed and felt too confident basically lost them the game. The outcome could have been different.. Too bad :( fuck me lost all my money while betting on reason.. damn
2013-11-29 18:32
I totally agree. That was a complete loss of coolness from Reason Gaming. They could easily have taken a 14-1 lead just by proceed as they did until that offensive fail-push.
2013-11-29 18:34
im pretty sure it wasnt a fail-push, and i am also sure the igl of reason knows a lot better than you when to push and when not. I am also pretty sure if the push had worked you'd all be praising him.
2013-11-29 18:36
Lol no, they had no reason whatsoever to change their play. They were destroying Astana and they got cocky. Of course Reason's igl knows more than us, but that doesn't mean he can't go full retard after being overconfident.
2013-11-29 18:42
You seem sure about a lot of things. Good for you! Ever since that round, things just turned upside down - that's all i'm stating. And please tell me, how can it not be a fail-push to lose such a crucial round, when you are ahead 11-1? As far as I know, nuke is a heavily ct-favored map. It has nothing to do about flame or praise. You're wrong at that point. I still think they did very good - but it was one call, one push that destroyed a beautiful ct-side from Reason Gaming.

I didn't understand anything from AdreN's words. He talked like it was just a normal game. You were trailing 11 to 1, how come does it sound normal ?

Still was a stupid idea to play nuke
2013-11-29 18:39
The plan was to obviously play nuke against CPH and basically foregoing the game in order to 1) save strats since they're going to vote nuke in the playoffs and 2) securing a much easier route to the finals ;)
2013-11-29 18:42
wp reason better luck next time dudes
2013-11-29 18:42
I personally think that if Reason gaming would not throw away last rounds of CT side (Colon jumping around and going for agressive peaks) they would have won it without much trouble. So i think lack of mentality was what cost them the game and the tournament.
2013-11-29 18:44
100% correct. they screwed themselves over for minimum 8k
2013-11-29 18:52
its COLON's fault that they lost ! COLON lost too many easy AWP shots, remove him and Reason will rise to top3
2013-11-29 18:56
remove colon and reason will disband
2013-11-29 19:05
"COLON" is the same "COLON" on 1.6 that cheated right?

yes, same colon from 1.6 that cheated way back in the days :D
