Official: LDLC sign new team

LDLC.com have announced that they have completed the signing of a new CS:GO team.

Earlier on Sunday, Namelss AWPer Kenny "kennyS" Schrub had taken to social media to reveal that both his team and Clan-Mystik had disbanded as a new team had emerged under the wings of LDLC.com.

Two players from ESWC champions Clan-Mystik, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and Hovik "KQLY" Tovmassian, have now linked up with Vincent "Happy" Cervoni, Kévin "Uzzziii" Vernel and Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez in a new team who definitely look capable of giving Titan a run for their money.

LDLC.com, who had been without a male CS:GO team since August, re-enter the scene with a bang and will most invest a lot more money this time around to make this one of the world's strongest sides.

"We now enter a new dimension because we can finally call ourselves professional," Dan "apEX" Madesclaire told LDLC.com's website.

"Marty (LDLC manager) made us an offer to recreate the core of our old lineup (Maniac, Happy and myself) but this time with a professional set-up.

"We had longed for that. That is sort of the Holy Grail. When you are a gamer, this is the reward for years of hard work.

"To complete this team we chose KQLY, who is one of the biggest hopes in the scene nowadays, he has a lot of skill and the desire to learn.

"Lastly, we picked Uzziii. Having a person like him is very important. You may not see him as a star, but is not players who are very famous that win matches for you, but players who can turn a match around and who have nerves of steel."

LDLC.com's first event will be the EMS One Katowice as the French team hold the spot that originally belonged to Recursive.

Starix is not the primary AWPer type. While Guardian is. KQLY and kennyS are both primary AWPers, so it doesn't work that easy. :)

Happy and Maniac were ready to "stab" the rest of the team, GMX and Kenny were not. So that leaves only Uzzziii with basically the decision which line-up is going to visit Katowice :)

I love how people actually think it would be smart to -Uzzi +kennyS. KQLY and kennyS are VERY similar players, meaning they want to awp all the time. And in CS:GO it just isn't viable except for a few rounds. double awp setups only work for like 3 or 4 rounds out of only the CT sides of d2 and train. So having 2 dedicated awpers is not smart. the KIOSHIMA/Uzzii debate is also not that solid, seeing as Uzzii really has to be a likeable and be very willing to do dirty work - and you really need that, despite what you people think. I actually would think Sf would be a better choice, but that is also debatable. And to the people saying you need 5 players who frag hard. That's a load of crap, you just need 3 players who are always stable, one that is somewhat stable but contributes to a lot of teamplay or even an IGL and frags okay, and then you can get away with one person not fragging hard. It's the matter of if Uzzii can step up for apEX, KQLY or Happy WHEN one of them is off in the fragging. When they have the other players are all pulling their weight, he just needs to do his job which is to support. We saw how Astana Dragons worked with 5 too fragheavy players, they where just like any other top8 team in the world - but on paper they should have actually been top1 if all you need is 5 fragheavy players.

Actually I doubt he is the owner, first player in the slot was happy so it's more likely him (imo). Btw from an inner source in the team it seems like uzzzii was chosen over the other because he could bring more in the team that could kennys or other, he has been chosen by the majority.

Well GMX wouldn't join the team because he didn't want to bait kennys by the looks of it, and apex would not play with kenny again so that pretty much made uzzi as the obvious choice as you need 3 players from the previous team (chrisJ wrote it somewhere up). Which means Uzzzi will probably get cut after IEM and they'll pick sf or something
