Tyloo add QZ, FANCY1

TyLoo have revamped their roster with the additions of Cai Lun "FANCY1" Yu and Wu Quan "QZ" Qing from Nface.

The Chinese giants have not yet been able to scale the same heights that they did in 1.6, and back in January they finished runners-up to Nface at the Redbull ECL 2013 Grand Finals after crashing out in the group stage at the MSI Beat It Finals.

With 5Eplay's eSports Masters just around the corner, TyLoo have been forced to change two players as both Huang "Rita" Biaohong and Huang "HZ" Zhen have retired from gaming.

Replacing the experienced duo are two up-and-coming talents, Cai Lun "FANCY1" Yu and Wu Quan "QZ" Qing, both of whom come from Nface.

TyLoo, who will start an intensive bootcamp on April 10th to prepare for the upcoming CS:GO and CSOL tournaments, now have:

China Likan "KingZ" Luo
China Ke "Mo" Lui
China Hui "QHZ" Wu
China Cai Lun "FANCY1" Yu
China Wu Quan "QZ" Qing

2014-04-10 12:39
CSOL is the problem for the asian scene.. why cant they just play csgo like all the other parts of the world? :D
2014-04-10 12:45
there is not even a matchmaking server in China. I think that's the main reason, people need to buy vpn (pay every month) to get low ping(100-200ping) to play matchmaking. Dunno about other country in asia though. And many people never heard of csgo, or even steam.
2014-04-10 14:36
Why would you buy an VPN to play MM? What it does is killing your pings, not improving them. Though correct me if I'm wrong.
2014-04-10 20:53
Mainland china player needs vpn to play on singapore server, without vpn, it's gonna be over 200ping, with vpn, it's gonna be like 70-200ping
2014-04-11 06:37
^ truth. Has to do with poor routing
2014-04-12 15:27
and for the pro players, csol means more money, they can't even survive if they only play csgo
2014-04-10 14:36
there are community servers, like DM, 10man, but players on 10 man servers are not at equal skill level, there is no good platform or community like esea
2014-04-10 14:38
make a reddit post for a server in china. It seems wierd to me that there is NO server in china. I mean there should be a couple at least.
2014-04-10 15:35
the law against it. in order to run game server in China, valvue must work with another chinese company.(like dota2) Most FPS online game companies in China run FPS game as free to play but selling high price weapon($2 for 30 days maybe for an ak47), that way they can make a lot of money. Value defenitly don't want to do CSGO like dis, there's no company in China that can co-op with value. And Valve can't legally set up game server in China.
2014-04-10 20:03
What does that law say? And how does the business model you described work as an workaround?
2014-04-10 20:54
dunno, there are many discussion on chinese csgo forum, many people say it's the law. But I heard there's a special business area in Shanghai that has a different business law than mainland china. Valve might be able to set up servers in that area. I guess the law says only domestic Game companies can set up commecial game servers.
2014-04-10 21:26
It's always a cooperation, ain't it. If you run a server that doesn't mean that you own the datacetre, all the equipment, or the land it's all located on. European servers, from what I know, are located in Luxembourg and Sweden. I don't know how does it look like physically, though I'm pretty much sure Valve does not own those datacetres.
2014-04-10 22:03
I think the way you run commercial game server in china is you need to let the government check your game contect first, that way, the game must be run by a domestic company. They could setup servers in HK, but i think mainland players still need vpn to play on HK servers, same to singapore servers
2014-04-10 22:40
Alternatively, they can obviously setup some servers in HK, but I'm guessing the peering would suck for most of the players. I have next to zero knowledge on the details here though.

Are you guys happy with all these laws? I mean, there's a lot of very questionable laws in china that restrict your lifestyle... I mean obviously this law is to strengthen chinese companies and not letting "western" companies profit from chinese people but wouldn't it be smarter to open the market and get the money through taxes and legit cooperations between companies?
2014-04-11 01:38
The reason valve is not able to set up csgo server in china is because there's no chinese gaming company that want to co-op with valve. Because online fps games are "free to play" in china, people spent more money buying weapons and shit in these games(crossfire,csol...etc.). The way valve run csgo won't make too much profit for chinese company. And there's not a huge market for csgo in China, most people play crossfire,csol...etc f2p games. Actually a lot of wetern companies get profit from chinese people, walmart is a good example. Chinese's market is open, there's just restrctions about western product, especially movies and video games...CCP believe they will have bad influence among chinese people which is bullshit... Personally i don't like cencorship law, but everybody in china knows how to bypass this law and get movies, games or whatever they want. nobody give a damn... They don't really restrict our lifestyle, the only thing you can't do is to say something against the government in public, like on the media, you can't say "CCP is bad, we need a new party for this country..." you ll get trouble. But you can say anything on dinner table, even in front of government offical or police, everybody know the society's problem, you can point the problem out, but you can't gather people to fight against CCP. The only thing chinese people can do is to hope CCP will rule this country better and better. The problem with the law is nobody give a damn about the law, a 5 year old kid can go to store and buy alcohol nobody give a damn. I used to smoke weed with my police friends.(Police still arrest drug dealers though) And another problem is corruption. Some people in china is powerful enough to kill other people without going to jail. They really don't give a fuck about the law, because they have tight relationship with local police, government and even local mafia.
2014-04-11 03:20
Isn't there a gaming organization in China that covers esports tournaments ect.? Valve should work with them, though I don't know how Valve is partnered with Nexon for CS:OL, they (Valve) might be restricted to work in China / Korea with other companies or at least in the FPS market space...

meaning of "Intensive bootcamp", chinese's version : 18h of game/strats per day 6h sleep repeat. 5 months after, they will be able to be in top 10 team. after 10 months, top 7 with some wins versus top3. but they will be stuck there. Like WMF were...
