Reason prevailed against 3DMAX in the grand final of Gaming.dk League by SteelSeries Season 8 Finals 2-1 (13-16 de_nuke, 16-13 de_inferno) for 10,000 DKK (~$1,850).
Today the Gaming.dk League Finals have been held at the DSRack eSports Café as usual with four top teams coming from the online phase put into a double elimination bracket.
Both Reason and 3DMAX crushed their opponents, Langes Lærlinge and tRICKED respectively, in the initial round and then met in the upper bracket final. Reason were the ones to have the upper hand as they went to the grand final after a clean 2-0 win.
Friis had a promising showing at the domestic championship
That meant 3DMAX were to battle it out for the other grand final spot against Langes Lærlinge, which turned out successfully with a 16-5 de_train victory.
The grand final was much closer on both maps compared to the last match between Reason and 3DMAX, as Jacob "Pimp" Winneche's team tied the series at 1-1 when they prevailed on de_nuke 16-13.
On the second and final map though, it was Reason with Michael "Friis" Jørgensen on the helm who got the better of their opponents and crowned themselves champions of the eighth season.
