dignitas have won Gfinity Alienware Pro League Season 1 with a 2-0 (16-8 de_nuke, 16-7 de_mirage) victory over Clan-Mystik in the grand final for $5,000.
Six teams took part in the inaugural season of Gfinity Alienware Pro League, with dignitas the clear favorites to be challenged by Clan-Mystik, H2k, ENCE, k1ck and GamePub.
Clan-Mystik unexpectedly lost against both k1ck and H2k in the group stage, but still made playoffs where they knocked k1ck into the third place decider en route to the grand final.
dignitas had it much easier, winning all the games they played but with three of their matches resulting in a forfeit. In the semi-finals they defeated the Finns of ENCE 2-0.

The grand final started with dignitas claiming a commanding 12-3 lead as counter-terrorists on de_nuke. They also won the second half pistol round, but surrendering on a save round prolonged the map until 16-8.
Second map was no different. dignitas struggled early, being tied at 4-4 at one point, but then finished the first half 8-7. On defense they were unstoppable, cruising to a 16-7 win.
