CS:GO confirmed at DH Valencia
The organisers of DreamHack Valencia have confirmed that CS:GO will be one of the games that will be played at this year's event.
DreamHack Valencia will run from July 17th to 20th at Feria Valencia, a large venue for trade fairs and the same location of the last two events of the kind, as part of DreamHack's world tour.
It has now been confirmed that CS:GO will have its own tournament at the Valencia stop, even though the prize pot for this tournament remains unknown.
A total of 16 teams will take part in this tournament, most of whom will be invited by the event organisers. From May 23rd to 25th there will be an online qualifier for Spanish teams only, with the two finalists booking places at DH Valencia. Details on how the remaining 14 slots will be distributed will be revealed shortly.
NiP won DH Valencia in 2012
It is worth noting that, in order to compete at DH Valencia, players need to purchase a gamer ticket, which costs €40.
Last year's DreamHack Valencia CS:GO tournament was won by n!faculty, who beat Clan-Mystik in the grand final to succeed Ninjas in Pyjamas as winners of the Spanish event.
