H2k lose CS:GO team

H2k-Gaming and their CS:GO team have parted company, Pål "polly" Kammen has told HLTV.org.

The Norwegian side were last seen in action at Copenhagen Games, where they finished in 9th-16th place, outside the payout structure, after suffering a 0-2 defeat to dignitas in the Round of 16.

Since then, the Assembly Winter 2014 winners have remained silent, and the reason for that has just been revealed: H2k have parted ways with the team as the organisation want to focus on other games in the future.

Polly's team looking for a new orga

Meanwhile, the team have also confirmed that they have undergone one roster change as Håvard "rain" Nygaard, formerly of partyastronauts, will replace Adrian "hoyland" Johansen, who has become inactive due to his academic commitments.

"We are grateful for the support H2k gave us these last months, which allowed us to reach a new level as a team," Pål "Polly" Kammen told HLTV.org.

"This, however, does not mean the end of our team. We will be playing with a new member, rain, who has played for us a stand-in in the past on several occasions. We know what we can do and we are confident that we will continue to improve with him on board.

"We would like to thank hoyland for being a beast these last months and helping us burst onto the scene, and hopefully we can keep building on that and reach new levels these coming months."

The Norwegian team, who will go by the name ".no" for the time being, are currently on the lookout for a new organisation to represent and can be reached by e-mail at pkammen@yahoo.no.

"Our main goal since Copenhagen Games has been Dreamhack Summer, but as it stands now we won't be able to attend without support,so anyone who might be interested in helping us, for this event or (preferably) in the long run, please contact us," Kammen stated.

.no have the following team:

Norway Pål "Polly" Kammen
Norway Bjoern "Skurk" Maaren
Norway Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel
Norway Markus "maak" Karlsen
Norway Håvard "rain" Nygaard

there was a time where it felt like we could watch an H2k match every day but suddenly it was over and I wasn't able to watch a match for months...what happened? xD
2014-05-17 18:18
yeah true, also i thought at the start that this team could become top10 or more but they played so many matches with standin so i think they got stopped improving as a team or something :/
2014-05-17 18:27
That might be true, i don't know :) But what i do know is that Hoyland is a graduate at "high school" and when you are a senior you are something called "russ" This means that this two month he has his exams aswell as "party time" haha idk if i explained that any good

hoyland always seemed to be their best player and together with a good hitting polly they been really good. GL to both the team and the H2k org to get what they are now looking for
2014-05-17 18:54
that does not make hoyland good though

The only reason I liked Partyastronauts was because of rain(y). it's great to see him move on to a bigger and challenging team. H2k has a great future if they stick togheter

lost their best player
2014-05-17 19:31
I can bet that h2k will now support lol or dota.
2014-05-17 19:40
Just because we parted ways with our CS:GO team, doesn't mean the end of H2k. This had an unfortunate end. We ended it on good terms, and I personally wish them the best of luck as they have a lot of potential. There will be a statement from our side soon, and probably a few updates for our future.
2014-05-17 20:07
Will there be csgo future? nobody cares here if ur gonna pick up a dota or lol team ,trust me
2014-05-17 20:09
I understand that his is a CS related place, and we have our eyes open for CS:GO still as most of the management comes from the Counter-Strike scene. There are many factors to why it ended like this, and I think there will be room for CS:GO in the future.

2014-05-17 22:33
rain gonna make this team stronger
2014-05-18 00:28
Hoyland had some games where he could pop heads like popcorn in the microwave, but he was maybe a bit to inconsistent having those games(like xyp9x). I think rainy will bring to a higher avarage. Best of luck to hoyland with exams and everything :)
2014-05-18 00:48
Skillwise I think Hoyland and rain are pretty close, but the team will get better only by rain being more active. So I think it's a good choice even tho I would like to know why cENTRYZ wasn't an alternative. I also can't understand why H2k wouldn't finance a trip to sweden before letting them go.
2014-05-18 11:43
Didn't cENTRYZ find himself a team almost instantly after he had to leave ESC, which is yet to be revealed? If not I think it's a weird decision. Anyways, as you say the team will probably be slightly better with rain.
2014-05-18 14:30
It's not easy for us to pay for everything, when we don't have the proper sponsors in place. But, the revealing of something is coming soon which would make more sense to why this happened.
2014-05-18 21:38
I hope you will send it to post[at]gamermag.no when it comes out.
