NiP beat dignitas; win Mikz Challenge

Ninjas in Pyjamas have been crowned champions of the Mikz Challenge after thrashing dignitas 2-0 in the grand final of this two-day cup.

Three of Europe's strongest teams (since LDLC.com pulled out of the tournament due to DDoS attacks) took part in the cup, which was organised by fragbite together with Mikz, and battled it out for the 10,000 SEK (approximately €1,115) cheque.

In the first day of the tournament, Ninjas in Pyjamas sealed a place in the grand final after moving past fnatic 16-6 and then dignitas 2-1, with Philip "aizy" Aistrup drawing admiring glances for his stellar performance for the Danish giants.

Day two began with dignitas beating fnatic on just two maps, the second of which went to multiple overtimes, to set up a grudge match against NiP in the final.

However, the cup decider was a one-way street, with NiP walking out 2-0 winners while losing just 10 rounds in total. The Swedes played with Finn "karrigan" Andersen as a stand-in for Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg for most of the second map, de_inferno, which they won 16-9.

I wonder how much karrigan's part/share is lol
2014-05-20 02:26
I don't think he wants any. Since this was good for his reputation, experience and probably funniest time in csgo ever.
2014-05-20 02:33
he have experience, just have some fun with NiP players :)
2014-05-20 02:41
Still cash usually always comes in handy (f.e. future replacement of old cow bell, hi-fi tuning of the latter etc.). Though I presume NiP guys may invite him to some drink or two the next time they meet at an event/somewhere...
2014-05-20 02:42
Is "future replacement of old cow bell" a saying? Or do you literally mean, he could buy a new cow bell to replace his old one? (Assuming he has a cow bell already)
2014-05-20 02:49
He 'upgraded' his stuff as of late (I don't recall the name of that other stuff he used to have, sorry) if I am not mistaken thus, yes, I mean it literally aka he has a cow bell already ;)
2014-05-20 03:15
It was a ratchet ;)

I bought one this morning :D
2014-05-21 14:08
When are you going to use it LOL
2014-05-21 14:31
I usually play with friends in the evening. Hopefully it has the same effect down the mic :D If the results are good, I'll make my friends get them too. So when we make a good play, you'll just hear multiple cowbells down the mic, aha :)
2014-05-21 14:47
Probably nothing. He just played 1 map as standin becuase he's a nice guy and ofc. good friends with the NiP guys or atleast Xizt :)
2014-05-20 02:45

Watch the first bo3 vs Dignitas during the Mikz, f0rp basically destroyed them alone, and he was @ 15-8 already on this one, which isn't bad at all :P
2014-05-20 07:13
You just showed how little you follow the scene. f0rest carried the team in some earlier matches in this very cup. Don't try to come of as knowledgeable when you're in fact ignorant to the facts.

Extremely unfair match, just imagine having to face nip on D2, right after playing a Bo3 against fnatic with a triple overtime. They were fatigued and had absolutely no chance.

These guys are used to play 8+ hours straight everyday, I doubt their 1,5 hour game versus fnatic was something that drained them physically/mentally.

Everybody had a bad performance on Dignitas' side. Got no clue why you blame Aizy or say he's an onliner all of a sudden. This community is just braindead.
