LDLC.com have qualified for the ESWC France finals after winning Lyon-eSports #7 against Katrina.

While all eyes were in Jönköping for DreamHack Summer, the French city of Lyon was playing host to the seventh edition of Lyon-eSports, one of the fastest-growing events in the country.

The CS:GO tournament featured a total of 32 teams from across the country, who battled it out for €5,000 in cash prizes and a spot at the French ESWC finals later this year.

LDLC.com win local event

With Titan and Epsilon attending DH Summer, it ended up being LDLC.com - who skipped the event in Sweden due to Dan "apEx" Madesclaire's exams -, to win this competition, after beating aAa 2-0 (16-9 on de_nuke, 16-4 on de_dust2) in the Upper final before seeing off Katrina 16-10 in the tournament decider.

Lyon-eSports #7 Final Standings:

1. France LDLC.com - €3,000 + ESWC France spot
2. France Katrina - €1,500
3. France aAa - €500
