G3 replace de_train with de_cache
Gfinity 3's CS:GO head admin has confirmed their decision to remove de_train from the map pool and replace it with de_cache.
After ESL announced they would alter the map pool in time for ESL One Cologne, many have started speculating with the possibility of a seven map pool without de_train being used.
Valve removed de_train from its active duty maps in matchmaking, and added three new maps in de_cache, de_overpass and de_cobblestone, suggesting those may come into play in Cologne.
de_cache will be played instead of de_train at G3
The developers of CS:GO have set certain guidelines to each of the community-funded $250,000 tournaments, and that has always included using the map pool they wanted.
Now G3, which will take place two weeks before ESL One Cologne, has decided to take action, by removing de_train in anticipation of the change and adding de_cache:
de_cache | de_dust2 | de_inferno | de_mirage | de_nuke |
G3 will feature a $45,000 CS:GO tournament at the Olympic Park in London, with most of the world's top teams present, and HLTV.org will travel on-site to provide you with full coverage.
