Virtus.pro win Gfinity 3
Virtus.pro are the champions of Gfinity 3 after defeating Titan straight 2-0 (16-4 de_mirage, 16-12 de_nuke) and grab the main prize of $20,000 and an ESWC spot home.
Starting off as Terrorists on de_mirage, Virtus.pro's basic pit strategy took over the A bombsite for 4-0, after Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski opened up the B bombsite by himself. Titan then tried to work around their two saved weapons, but VP's smokeoff strategy pushed them to 5-0.
A triple AWP buy on Titan was scrapped by the Poles when they picked the French-Belgian team one by one, and once Jarząbkowski picked Kenny "kennyS" Schrub on mid in the following round, VP took advantage of the lowered defence on B and went on to take the lead to 8-0.
Titan finally took a round by picking Virtus.pro one by one and Schrub's double from CT spawn to A extended their round count to two. The following four rounds were exchanged, part of which was thanks to Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt's triple and Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom's double, but VP still had the upper hand at the halftime at 11-4.
byali had a monstrous performance on de_mirage
Even though the team led by Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans took over the A bombsite, two of his players got caught on the middle, and once Filip "NEO" Kubski finished his triple, most of the nails were already in the coffin of Titan.
Only a couple of ecos and a failed smokeoff B strategy was standing in the way of a 1-0 lead on maps, as Paweł "byali" Bieliński's beastly performance pushed his team to 16-4 on map one.
Benrlitom opened up de_nuke by a triple from catwalk, putting his team up 4-0 after the first gunround. Then Virtus.pro got into the A bombsite with Titan not putting much of a fight, although soon the leaf was back on the original side.
Virtus.pro were trying over and over for both bombsites from every angle possible, but Schrub and Benrlitom kept denying their attacks up until 9-1. Then Kubski got all the way up to catwalk and helped his team take over A and win their second round on map two.
Another upper attack and two lower ones went the way most of the side did, little to no chances for the Poles to even plant, much less win a round. Only the last went their way before halftime, as Titan went over to Terrorists with a comfortable nine-round lead.
Virtus.pro win Gfinity 3 without losing a single round as CTs on de_nuke
The second pistol resulted in a two-vs-two, which Virtus.pro turned into their favor by defusing without killing anyone, and capitalized on that in the following anti-ecos, as well as the first gunround thanks to Bieliński's triple in a lower retake.
Virtus.pro kept racking up more and more rounds, as Schrub was unable to win a close one-vs-two and Kubski's triple put VP on a 12-12 tie, and once Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski aced Titan with a sniper rifle, the match was almost over.
A forcebuy on Titan's part was met with a solid defence and the French-Belgian team couldn't get a good opening, and only two rounds afterwards the match was over at 16-12, 2-0.
