iBP beat Na´Vi to win CKoTH #4

MIRAA
August 7th, 2014 03:09

iBUYPOWER are the new Casekings of the Hill following a 2-1 victory over Natus Vincere (10-16 on de_dust2, 16-8 on de_cache and 16-9 on de_inferno).

Fresh off a 5th-8th place finish at Gfinity 3, iBUYPOWER will be bootcamping in London for ESL One Cologne and began their preparations for the German event with a bang as they beat Copenhagen Wolves 2-0 (16-10 on de_dust2 and 16-8 on de_nuke) to set up a thrilling final against reigning Casekingchampions Na´Vi.

The final was anything but easy for the North American side, who found themselves on the back foot following a 10-16 defeat on de_dust2, where Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács picked up a +8 K/D ratio.

Edward picked up 33 kills on de_inferno

iBP then managed to turn things around and ran out 16-8 and 16-9 winners on de_cache and de_inferno to beat Na´Vi, who had been Casekings since the first edition of the tournament. Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham gave turned in a great performance on these maps, but still he was eclipsed by Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev, who amassed 33 kills on the last map despite Na´Vi losing by seven rounds.

Maybe there is an nickname auto-detect system in HLTV & there is also a pro player with the name of GuardiaN.. like the option of tag in Facebook when you find too much friends with same name and you tag the wrong one..

Those lost eco rounds hurt my soul though.
2014-08-07 04:57
Yeah it makes me worried for the major. Though I'll still probably bet on them.
2014-08-07 05:40
swag onliner, bottom frags at G3, top frags in online match. IBP onliner team as a whole too. I wanna see them in Cologne :)
2014-08-07 05:04
Their group in Cologne is pretty tough. Let's be honest, it's gonna take some luck for them to get out of group.
2014-08-07 05:14
ESEA LAN isn't online, bud.
2014-08-07 06:49
There is no season at ESL One
2014-08-07 07:44
Swag carried coL to their D2 win over nip at the last major. He was clutching 1v4s and dropped 30+
2014-08-07 18:44
iBP preformed well yes but it was online sadly im still going to wait till esl one before i judge.
2014-08-07 05:06
iBP played okay. Na'Vi played awful.
2014-08-07 05:14
You have already made up your mind long time ago. You are cloud9 fan and you can't wait for iBP to fail in Cologne.
2014-08-07 06:19
Im a fan of descent counterstrike and no i just dont like steel but that doesnt mean anything. If iBP make it out of their though group they will prove that can actually preform well if not then they once again where overhyped.

2014-08-07 06:23
People keep saying it was "online" while NAVI was playing with almost LAN ping. Anyone noticed the ping difference? Anyone noticed the many anti-eco rounds that iBP lost ? Both teams could have played much better but at the end of the day iBP pulled through. The EU tears are tasty.
2014-08-07 06:20
You won't see Na'Vi playing like that for hopefully some time. I watch many iBP and Na'Vi games. That inferno Na'Vi is not the same one I know. They are usually very smart and win by adjusting tactics to what's going on. Zues has been doing great with that. This is a fluke win, I still don't trust iBP to do well. I need to see more than them beating Na'Vi 2 maps to 1 on a day where Na'Vi played horrible and repeated stupid mistakes over and over.

why should they risk their tactics in an online match just right before cologne. NaVi are one of the favorites to win the whole thing
2014-08-07 08:49
That's what he said? :D
2014-08-07 11:49
Dude iBP had Better Ping Than Most of Na'Vi Players. GuardiaN 100+ Seized 75+ and Starix had a higher ping too
2014-08-07 07:31
calm down you dont need to be mad
2014-08-07 11:26
cgz, was pretty awesome evening :)
2014-08-07 06:50
IBP are a sick sick team, i think they could easily top 3 the upcoming tourny.. All depends on swags form
2014-08-07 07:01

Na'vi have a boot camp in Germany. And this is some internet problems at bootcamp. 7-10 ping at the beginning of round, but 100 in action. Plus match before Cologne lol. Na'vi played 4 fun I guess. So Edward why so serious ? :D GJ iBP
2014-08-07 09:52
iBP well done, Edward carried hard on inferno and the game wouldve been over a lot sooner if it wasnt for him. This is nice though, Na'Vi had been the kings of the hill a bit too long imo :D

Really bad play for all Na`Vi except Edward in last two maps. But we all know that they can do damage pretty well... GG iBP.
2014-08-07 11:46
I wonder about how much their ping is?
2014-08-07 11:48
What's wrong about ping? iBP is playing from UK, Na`Vi playing from DE (n!faculty base) but they had 2mbp/s for 5 PC's plus a laptop, sometimes it was laggy when all Na`Vi were in action, too much sending packets. <: Can't remember, 650kbp/s or 550kbp/s were enough for 5 PC's in 1.6 to play normally, haha. :D
2014-08-07 11:57
IBP had about 40 ping, Navi had about 5.
2014-08-07 12:15
ibp is on Europe for now?
2014-08-07 14:22
Bootcamping for Cologne.
