mixwell leaves OverGaming

Óscar "mixwell" Cañellas has announced that he has parted ways with OverGaming.

The news comes just three weeks after Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas was recruited by OverGaming, together with Alejandro "ALEX" Masanet, as replacements for Juan "meisoN" Carlos Chacón and Antonio "FlipiN" Rivas del Rey.

With the new roster, OverGaming were able to beat London Conspiracy 2-0 in Hitbox Arena Championship 2 before forfeiting the match against fnatic due to DDoS.

mixwell exits OverGaming

mixwell has now revealed that he has decided to leave the team after growing increasingly unhappy with the squad role he was given.

"I did not have fun playing in that role, I did not want to adapt because I know myself and I cannot force things,” he said.

"I have had bad experiences and changed my mentality. I would rather spend my time having fun and playing casually, or with a group of friends.

"Even though OverGaming are the best team in Spain, with a gaming house, and the players are really great guys, it is hard to perform when you do not enjoy what you are doing.

"This is not about just winning or making sacrifices for the team. From the moment you are no longer enjoying things, you are damaging your team-mate by not giving 100 per cent."

HLTV.org has learned that OverGaming should announce their new fifth player next week. Until then, the Spanish team will be playing with FlipiN as a stand-in, just like they did on Wednesday against LondonC, in the consolidation final of their Hitbox Arena Championsghip group.

OverGaming now have the following four-man starting lineup:

Spain David "Kairi" de Miguel
Spain Jonathan "MusambaN1" Torrent
Spain Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran
Spain Alejandro "ALEX" Masanet

Spain Antonio "FlipiN" Rivas del Rey (coach)

Flipin is low for this team. I hope musa find other player.
2014-08-30 13:53
I presume this is the mixed result of his involvement in vis' cheat affair (bad PR for OG) and him complaining (during this same affair actually) about his role without apparently telling his team.
2014-08-29 04:36
Yeah you're completely right. Sad to see vis start cheating.
2014-08-30 04:40
According to him it was in order to have fun with his friends (and, additionally, to fight another cheater - the usual idiocy of fighting a cheater with cheats) and knowing that he will not return to the game (first player I know who is so sure about it). Though the side effect is that people wonder if he 'started' to cheat or if those rounds/matches they lost against him as an opponent were too due to some of this 'magic' too. Thus doubt has been cast on this past performances.

There is so easy way to get rid of the DDOS. Only think you have to do is turn on IP Flood Detection.
