fnatic through to SLTV grand final

fnatic are through to the SLTV StarSeries X Finals grand final after a comfortable 2-0 win versus Natus Vincere (16-11 de_mirage, 16-6 de_inferno).

First pistol round of de_mirage saw fnatic run a classic smoke-off strategy towards A, which Na`Vi was prepared for and with the help of doubles by Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev, they clinched the first round.

A quick B rush with CZ-75s with vests quickly tied the game at 1-1 and fnatic were able to survive both following anti-ecos. Natus Vincere got a good read on what the Swedes were up to in the following round and stacked B to take it to 2-3.

fnatic then clinched two rounds in a row, but it didn't scare Na`Vi away, who won an unfavorable two-on-two with low healthpoints on the B bombsite. Even though Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko was able to get a read on his opponents again on A, Markus "pronax" Wallsten won a one-vs-three, which took the game to 7-3 in fnatic's favor.

Na`Vi managed to pick off fnatic one by one then while on an eco, and afterwards GuardiaN saved his team with a triple in a three-vs-four. With an eco thrown in and GuardiaN's double entry on mid, Na`Vi were going over to the Terrorists side with a 8-7 lead.

Another classic round on A was defended by fnatic due to an offly-placed smoke, which was why Edward was unable to plant the bomb, and after two ecos, fnatic were back in the lead at 10-8.

All of fnatic's members were on point, but JW's entries made the difference

Two rounds ending up in a two-vs-two in a row went Na`Vi's way, plus an eco, and the lead was back in the hands of Na`Vi. That was only for a short while though, as in the next round Jesper "JW" Wecksell won a one-vs-one against GuardiaN on the A bombsite, and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer delivered a quad-kill after a quick A strategy.

In two of the last three rounds, fnatic won the close situations, while the last saw Na`Vi getting picked off on middle by the Swedish sniper, which put fnatic on the lead at 16-11, 1-0 on maps.

fnatic got off to a good start towards the beginning of de_inferno, winning both the pistol after a delayed B push, as well as the first gunround, when JW opened up banana with a double.

Na`Vi replied right after with the in-game leader Zeus picking up a triple while defending A, and the team kept racking up comfortable rounds afterwards. Denis "seized" Kostin's double entry on banana helped them get to a 5-4 lead, and despite fnatic rotating correctly towards B after getting picked off on A, Na`Vi still won the four-vs-three for 6-4.

Then the B bombsite started slacking off for the defence, Na`Vi kept putting four people towards A, which cost them multiple rounds on B as Sergey "starix" Ischuk couldn't hold on his own. Robin "flusha" Rönnquist's triple forced Na`Vi to save the remaining two weapons and in the last round of the half, Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson won a one-vs-two on the B bombsite for a comfortable 9-6 lead.

Despite trading one for one on A, fnatic were still able to defend the rotation for 10-6 before Na`Vi tried to forcebuy twice in a row with no success also thanks to olofmeister's triple. With an eco, only three rounds were standing in fnatic's way to the grand final, all of which they won comfortably and finished the series with 16-6.

Pretty boring tournament with no VP or NiP there, no team is on fnatic's level zzzZZZzzz
2014-08-30 20:01
Last few times VP were outplayed by Na`Vi pretty hard.
2014-08-30 20:07
Fnaitc is probobly the #1 team right now. Nip were kinda lucky at ems tbh, they did deserve a major tho.
2014-08-30 20:30
they have a major
2014-08-31 00:00
I'm talking about nip
2014-08-31 01:39
deserved, gg krimz well played boy!
2014-08-30 20:02

2014-08-30 20:02

2014-08-30 20:03
1.fnatic,2nd na`vi, 3rd hellraisers, and the best out there myxmg
2014-08-30 20:07
fnatic just outplayed Na`Vi. If you would listen Na`Vi's teamspeak, it's crazy :D flaming each other, screaming, too much mistakes, something wrong with them.
2014-08-30 20:08
how do you know that? Na'Vi may not be a superb team, but I never saw them arguing or getting mad. Can you imagine Edward making a scene?
2014-08-30 20:27
SLTV had their teamspeak streamed.
2014-08-30 20:30
That's really weird.
2014-08-30 20:31
Why? fnatic's teamspeak also were streamed.
2014-08-30 20:33
No, I mean na'vi being mad
2014-08-30 20:35
They weren't actually MAD but they started to do a lot of mistakes since first map mirage. Mostly miss-communication.
2014-08-30 20:38
Where was this? On the SLTV main stream?
2014-08-30 20:42
SLTV Team 1 POV, SLTV Team 2 POV streams.
2014-08-30 20:46
Cool, didn't even know those existed.
2014-08-31 14:16
easy, fnatic best team world
2014-08-30 20:10
one of the best, NiP is best and thats a fact
2014-08-30 20:41
not really, fnatic screwed up big time at esl cologne, they should have won that event, nip is just so experienced and smart, they gonna take it, if u make 2 much mistakes, u gotta credit that. still fnatic will be the better team longterm bcuz of better individuals over all 5 positions.
2014-08-31 05:44
You just said will be better. Doesn't matter how good Fnatic are, if they can't win the title. They can't be better and their not better on all positions. So as I said NiP is best team at the moment and you can't argue about that.
2014-08-31 14:08
it just wasn't a good match from Na'Vi, everything went wrong basically... fnatic obviously really strong but Na'Vi are a capable contender just not this time
