Na`Vi beat HR to reach final

Natus Vincere are through to the grand final of SLTV StarSeries X following a 2-1 victory against HellRaisers (5-16 on de_dust2, 16-11 on de_inferno, 16-8 on de_mirage.

On de_dust2, HellRaisers, who began on the Terrorist side, got off to a great start and won the first round after rushing short. Na`Vi came close to winning the first anti-eco round with a great defensive setup in B, but Sergey "starix" Ischuk did not have enough time to defuse the bomb.

The first gun round, a mid-B split from HR, then went Na`Vi's way, with Denis "seized" Kostin shutting down the B bombsite with three kills to his name. Na`Vi would add two more rounds to their tally to make it 3-3, but then HellRaisers regained control of proceedings and strung four rounds together, the third of which with a 1-on-2 from Emil "kUcheR" Akhundov.

Na`Vi managed to reduce the deficit to 4-7 to break HR’s momentum, but that did little in the way of stopping the Ukrainian-Russian-Kazakh mixture, who won the last four rounds of the half, with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov taking the plaudits as he won two 1-on-2 situations.

In the second half, Na`Vi came out strongly in the pistol round and took down one opponent with a fast entry in long, but they were completely taken by surprise when they went back to the catwalk area.

After losing the following two eco rounds, Na `Vi tried to perform a mid-B split in the first gun round, only to be slaughtered in a crossfire by the CT spawn. Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács’s side then found a lifeline when they finally won a round following a B rush, but their recovery was short-lived, as Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov won a 1-on-1 situation against Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev, who had been left alone against three opponents, to give HR a 16-5 victory.

markeloff won very important clutches on dust2

On de_inferno, HR once again started off on the highly-favored side of the map, this time being the CT side, and they claimed bragging rights first following a textbook retake in the A site, with Null element and kUcheR picking up two kills each.

In the first eco round, Na`Vi managed to plant the bomb in the B site, which allowed them to go for a full buy in the third round, a strategy that bore fruits as they reduced the deficit to 1-2. A quad kill from Dosia in A then caught Na`Vi’s players off-guard and gave HR a two-round lead again.

The two teams then traded a couple of rounds, with Na`Vi eventually closing the gap to 5-6. During the later stages of the first half, however, HR were too hot to handle, which allowed them to take a 10-5 lead into the second half.

In the pistol round, HR went for a straight B push and they came close to securing the bombsite if it was not for starix, who picked up four kills, including three stunning headshots.

HR went for a full buy in the third round but failed to capitalize on that, which wrecked their economy. Little by little, Na´Vi turned the deficit around and started gaining ground on their opponents until they eventually they made it 14-10 in their favor. An A push from HR then gave them some hope, but a quad kill from starix in the banana put Na`Vi on the brink of victory, which they would claim in the round that followed.

Yet another MVP performance from GuardiaN

The final map was de_mirage, where Na´Vi, who started on the CT side, got off to a flying start thanks to GuardiaN, who picked up a triple kill in the pistol round. HR came very close to winning the third round after planting the bomb in B, but Na`Vi retook the site in a 3-on-3 situation without losing a single player in the process.

In the following gun round, HR continued to dance to the dune of GuardiaN, who got four more kills to his tally to keep his team in the driving seat. HR then managed to respond and reduced the deficit to 1-5, but Na`Vi immediately pegged back, with seized winning a 1-on-1 with kUcheR in A.

The rest of the first half was neck-and-neck, with neither side able to get their grip on the game, with Na`Vi eventually taking a comfortable 10-5 lead into the second half.

Na`Vi showed they wanted to wrap things up quickly and went for an A push in the pistol round that wreaked havoc in HR's defenses. HR were able to string a few rounds together in gun play, but there was little they could do to stop Na´Vi, who sealed 16-8 victory in great fashion as Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko won a 1-on-3 in B.

Youre so wrong mate. We have some decent teams. A lot of our invite teams could take a map off hr, and I like hr.

Even Exertus aka eLevate took NAVI 14-16 on lan and should of won it (this was about 3 months ago).

2014-08-31 17:25
Wp but they could have done much better. First half 10-5 only because Guardian was on fucki g point, but rounds were still close. Then very unlucky that they stacked the wrong side on the pistol round and it continued with weird things like Edward jumping and getting kills.

I was impressed with the D2 performance from HR. I hope they continue to develop their teamwork capabilities as their individual skills are awesome. gotta feel sad for those people who comment with the intention to hate. lmao, must be the skins that got them acting so childish! ^_^
2014-08-31 18:39
4 of them play together for nearly 2 years and with this lineup they ve got more than 6 months. They were playing 180hrs for 2 weeks before ESL cologne and still they suck hard.I doubt they can build any teamwork cos they suck ;)
2014-08-31 21:34
They simply played too much and expected good results. If you put so much work throughout two weeks, you NEED a rest afterwards, otherwise you keep doing the same thing over and over again pretty much in the same environment and you somewhat get used to it. But meh, not sure what they lack. Sometimes HR can deliver a rather good performance and sometimes they seem just absolutely horrible.
