Virtus top Acer A-Split Invitational

Virtus.pro have won Acer A-Split Invitational and $5,000 by overcoming Reason 3-0 (16-11 de_cobblestone, 16-7 de_nuke) in the grand final.

On day one Virtus.pro topped group A just ahead of PENTA, while the other finalists, Danish unu.AiN playing under Reason's brand this weekend, overcame mouz in group B.

Today started with Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's Reason easily taking down PENTA, who were playing with Planetkey's Johannes "nex" Maget as a stand-in for Denis "denis" Howell, in the upper bracket.

Shortly later Virtus.pro disposed of Aleksi "allu" Jalli's mousesports with a 2-0 score, thus setting up the next two match-ups in the double elimination playoffs.

Virtus.pro finish off 2014 with a win in Germany

PENTA knocked out mousesports in fourth place, while Virtus.pro wasted no time in securing a spot in the grand final with a dominant 2-0 victory over the Danish side.

Reason then scored a second victory over PENTA, with Michael "Friis" Jørgensen leading the way with a +13 K-D difference in the Danish team's 2-1 win to advance to the grand final.

Virtus.pro came into the final with a 1-0 lead, and quickly extended it with a win on de_cobblestone. The Poles then clinched the championship with a win on de_nuke.
