Team Liquid sign ex-Denial

Team Liquid have announced that they have completed the signing of the former Denial squad.

The North American team have established themselves as one of the strongest sides in the region following a series of convincing displays, both online and on LAN.

Last week, Damian "daps" Steele's men announced that they were parting ways with Denial, which immediately raised suggestions that big news were in the pipeline, also because Eric "adreN" Hoag decided to quit his job to play CS:GO full-time.

adreN & co join Team Liquid

It has now been announced that the players have been recruited by Team Liquid, one of the most successful multi-gaming organisations in North America, boasting squads in games like Starcraft 2, League of Legends and Hearthstone.

"Our team is extremely excited to announce that we will be joining Team Liquid for all future matches and events!," Damian "daps" Steele said.

"The core of our team has been together for just over 6 months and we have already accomplished a lot with our young and talented roster.

"We feel that being apart of Team Liquid will allow us to take our game to the next level and accomplish even more in the future.

"We would also like to thank Robby and Denial eSports for taking our team into their organization in 2014 and for letting us compete and show what we were capable of at the events that we attended. 2015 is the year of CSGO and our team can't wait to begin competing again in this new year with Team Liquid."

Team Liquid, who were on Monday invited to take part in the FACEIT 2015 League, have the following players:

Canada Damian "daps" Steele
United States Jacob "FugLy" Medina
United States Eric "adreN" Hoag
Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic
United States Nick "nitr0" Cannella

Accomplishments: Last place CEVO LAN. Is that all it takes to land a top notch org nowadays. Rofl what a joke.
2015-01-13 20:08
They did extremely well at the last ESEA LAN, all things considered.
2015-01-13 20:14
considering everyone expected them to get rolled twice in a row they did well. In the big picture? No, not really.
2015-01-13 20:48
They took Titan to OT and a 16 - 12, which isn't terrible(granted, they did have iRoek, but Denial had Anger no-showing). I don't really care for this team(sans adreN, I guess), but people are underselling them. They're probably the 2nd best team domestically at the moment.
2015-01-13 21:02
It was definately progress form CEVO LAN, but i wont overrate their performance too much either.
2015-01-13 21:39
Well, neither would I. They have potential, but that doesn't mean they're realizing it.
2015-01-13 23:02
HATERS GONNA HATE...
2015-01-13 23:20
that's just a big plus, because that means the CS:GO scene has grown so much!
2015-01-14 01:49
Its not as much as them deserving it as much as orgs in NA are finally realizing that csgo is. Game to invest in, so theyre tryin to get the best they can get.

because they are great representatives for team liquid. a lot of teams are too toxic for a club of fine gentlemen like the liquid guys. adren is basically the most team liquid-ish person in NA cs.

2015-01-13 20:39
Yesssssssssssssssssssss
2015-01-13 20:44
Btw, and this is very important if we're gonna keep the interest from big NA organisations: We have to expand on the 2 qualifying slots that NA are currently getting. The NA scene is growing in both skill and teams, and they deserve at least 3 or possibly 4 teams now. We've recently had to fill up the last ones with absurd tier 4 teams from all over the world while NA has had more teams that can compete.
2015-01-13 20:47
+1
2015-01-13 20:54
It might seem like the NA teams are getting better, but i think it has more to do with iBP and c9 both dropping down to the other teams level. Now theres 5-6 teams at the top of NA that can all beat each other, and look good while doing it, but all of them would get more or less owned by top euro teams.
2015-01-13 20:55
Edit: I accidentally deleted my answer so I'm just gonna rewrite it quickly. Top euro teams would most likely beat them, but at DHW and the other majors we've had so many tier 2-3-4 teams from around the world that could have been beaten by Mspaz/Liquid/Torqued, etc: Penta, Planetkey, Bravado, CHPW, Flipsid3, ESC, MYXmg, etc.
2015-01-13 21:03
i still think 3 teams is an absolute max. with a proper qualifier close to the actual event to make sure the best teams actually go there.
