Space Soldiers go official
A new Turkish team called Space Soldiers has officially been created, with some of the most experienced players in the country involved in the project.
Led by Tugay "TuGuX" Keskin, who has played for teams like logiX and Wild Fire throughout his CS:GO career, Space Soldiers are looking to become a household name in the international scene and attend the biggest events held in Europe.
The Turkish team recently took part in the South East Europe Championship, reaching the semi-finals of the tournament before suffering a 1-2 defeat against aimface.
Joining TuGuX are four well-known faces from the Turkish scene, Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş, Emre "e1" Biçer, Cihan "ONLY" Gönek and Çağatay "DESPE" Sedef, with the team having already begun preparations for Copenhagen Games, which will take place from April 1-5.
"Here we are with a new team consisting of the best players from Turkey and me (since I live in Germany)," Tugay "TuGuX" Keskin told HLTV.org. "We got in touch through a mutual friend and have got along from the start.
"The lineup is one of the most talented that I have been part of, and I am really looking forward to having a succesful career in this team.
"Nevertheless, talent is not enough and we have been practicing hard for one month.
"We have already met in Istanbul, and we will have excellent conditions to guarantee that we can concentrate on getting better and better.
"Space Soldiers is a really professional organisation, and I am glad to have the opportunity to be part of this. I hope that with this support we will be able to prove our potential."
