LDLC top group B, fnatic second
LDLC secure the top spot in group B following a 16-6 win against Liquid on Dust2, while fnatic came in second after beating CLG 16-7 on de_mirage.
The first match of the day saw CLG and fnatic fighting in group B for a spot in the semi-finals on de_mirage with fnatic starting off on the preferred Counter-Terrorists side.
First pistol round went into the hands of the Swedish favourites, as well as the following anti-eco and a forcebuy attempt from CLG's new squad. An eco win in round number four helped CLG to two rounds, but then the card has turned again thanks to Markus "pronax" Wallsten's Desert Eagle double-headshot.

Out of all the following rounds fnatic had the upper hand in all but one, with two of them ending by time running out, one of them won by Robin "flusha" Rönnquist's smart positioning at middle.
A nine-round lead at the halftime by fnatic was lowered to six despite fnatic planting during the first round, as [flusha] was unable to win a one-on-two on the B bombsite, although another B push in an eco broke CLG's economy for 14-6. CLG held on for one round, but a match point from fnatic was turned into a semi-final spot at 16-7.
In the other group B decider, it was Liquid taking on LDLC on Dust2, where the latter lost to CLG yesterday. The Frenchmen opened it up by taking a quick 4-1 lead following a won pistol and a split couple of gunrounds.
Soon after the lead was extended to 7-1 and even though Liquid started waking up towards the end of the half with two rounds, they still switched to the Terrorist side down 3-12.

LDLC didn't stop chiming in after swapping sides, winning the second pistol round as well, but that time around Liquid stopped the rot right after with an eco win with Nick "nitr0" Cannella top-fragging for his team.
Two ecos didn't come to any fruition on the LDLC side, but apart from that Liquid were unable to make anything happen as the Frenchmen secured the top placing in group at 16-6.
Group A is coming up next in the $50,000 tournament at MLG X Games Aspen with NiP looking to secure a playoffs spot against KaBuM and dignitas taking on Cloud9 later on.
