fnatic won Inferno Online Pantamera Challenge after a narrow 2-0 win (16-13 de_cache, 22-20 de_inferno) for the first place prize of nearly $17,000.
First map of the Pantamera Challenge's grand final was set to be de_cache, where fnatic rockestarted a long streak after a won initial pistol round of the defense thanks to Jesper "JW" Wecksell's performance.
Cédric "RpK" Guipouy offered Titan their first round, finishing fnatic's eight-round streak with a one-on-two afterplant, but fnatic broke Titan's money yet again right after.
Kenny "kennyS" Schrub's heroics in another one-on-two, as well as one more round on the way before the end of the half, helped the French-Swiss-Belgian team get three rounds in total before switching over.
When fnatic got the second pistol round too, first map looked nearly over despite Titan getting the first three gunrounds as Terrorists. Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson then won a one-on-one with Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez, setting fnatic's sights on a first map win at six map points.
kennyS put up a few more performances for his team, but it wasn't enough as fnatic stormed through map one with a well-executed B bombsite push at 16-13, 1-0.
Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer's quad with a one-on-three in the second pistol rocketed fnatic to 4-0 on the harder side of de_inferno. Six following rounds were split evenly, but Titan eventually stood up to the task with five in a row for a narrow CT-side win 8-7.
fnatic are back to winning ways
Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's chaotic one-on-two extended Titan's streak to eight rounds in a row before fnatic finally broke it to take the match to 11-8 in favour of the mostly-French team.
One more round on the board was negated by fnatic's forcebuy surprise, while Titan's forcebuy ended up in a one-on-one, won by the skin of his teeth by KRIMZ.
A B push once again pushed fnatic to a very low forcebuy, which they miraculously won due to JW's gamble, and the forcebuy ball was in Titan's court again. KRIMZ was close to winning a one-on-three thanks to smart positioning, but Ex6TenZ won another clutch for 14-11.
Yet another forcebuy didn't work out this time around for fnatic, but the following one did once again, as fnatic held on for another round. Another one of JW's heroics helped fnatic get into overtime.
There, more of olofmeister entry frags essentially won fnatic two rounds in a row for one of Titans, before Titan took 2-1 of their own to take it into overtime number two.
Even though kennyS broke 50 frags in the 41st round, fnatic still managed to scrape through after a second overtime at 22-20.
