PGL announces $110,000 league
PGL has announced that it will organise a CS:GO league with cash prizes amounting to $110,000.
PGL has been the backbone of the Romanian e-sports scene for many years, hosting countless domestic tournaments and also a number of DreamHack stops, which have attracted teams and players from all over the world.
Following up on the announcement that every DreamHack stop will feature CS:GO this year, PGL has announced the first details about its CS:GO Championship Series (CCS) European league, which will have a whopping $110,000 prize purse.
CCS Kick Off season will feature a total of eight teams, six of whom will be invited by PGL, while the remaining two will come from online qualifiers. The league will end with the offline finals at DreamHack Bucharest, from April 24-26.
CCS Kick Off Season with $110,000 pool
The participants will be drawn into two groups of four teams, with the group winners automatically moving on to the season finals. The remaining teams will face off in a relegation stage for the last two places at the event in Bucharest.
The CCS online qualifiers will take place towards the end of February, with more info about registration and tournament format due to be announced shortly. The main league is scheduled to start on March 6.
