Carey "frozt" Kertenian & his teammates to play for Luminosity

The team, also known at times as Mythic Men, have now left the Mythic organisation and teamed up with Luminosity Gaming.

Luminosity is a new organisation which is comitted to helping bolster the North American scene, which has already been strengthened by several high profile signings in the past few months.

The organisation put out this statement following the signing:

"We are incredibly excited to announce the official launch of Luminosity Gaming. We are a new organization but our staff and founder are no stranger to eSports. Our goal is to contribute to the growth of eSports, and provide our athletes with the opportunity to make full time gaming a sustainable profession, long term. Our players are our number one priority and focus.

With the birth of LG, comes the signing of up and coming NA talents, the Mythic Men. Along with new addition Carey "frozt" Kertenian, Abraham "abE" Fazli will be filling the role of 6th man, while he focuses on his studies. The team has showed great promise during the regular season of competitive play, and we can't wait to see what they do next. Stay tuned!"

When reached out to by ESEA News, Alexander "LeX" Deily had this to say:

"At long last, through many trials and business meetings, struggles and inner turmoil, we have settled on an org that is right for us. We are proud to wear the LG name and represent eSports in North America to our fullest ability. This agreement to play under this particular org will bring our game to the next level. Also, the current Twitch sponsorship with Mythic will still stand under the new organization. Thank you to Twitch for continuing support for all of our players."

Why are you posting articles concerning things that you have no clue about yourself :X
2015-02-27 01:25
po-tay-toh, poh-tah-toh. Semantics shouldn't mean much in an article about a new org. I changed the wording just in case.
2015-02-27 01:31

didn't mean to offend you, mate. i was referring to all these trolls that dominate hltv.
2015-02-27 01:50
I'm not offended sorry if it seemed that way. I'm just kind of anal about being correct in articles -_-

mistakes happen, you're still doing a great job in here. keep it up!

It's not about being professional or unprofessional, it's about extracting norms from text, especially in a situation where social cues might not be apparent. Original event: I said frozt replaced desi, which is a logical transitional occurrence if we go by the structure of the active lineup. Situational background: abE was 5th, stepped down, desi was on trial. The ambiguity between trial and stand-in is a social situation which makes reading the social contract incurred therein rather hard from the outside looking in. Especially since abE's situation as backup and focusing on studies is not mentioned much in the information available. Outcome: I chose the occurrence over the inferred potential of the change. Some background reading on inferring norms from text and semantic structure: arxiv.org/ftp/cs/papers/0607/0607084.pdf

2015-02-27 02:10
esports is not the same as real sports.
2015-02-27 02:47
esport is a sport. not physical but sport
2015-02-28 22:09
and being an athlete is kinda about physical sport.
2015-02-28 22:12
I don't think so. It is about playing a sport
2015-02-28 22:13
debatable.
2015-02-28 22:14
If a golfer can be an athlete a CS:GO player can aswell. At MLG X-Games the players were treated and labeled as athletes.
