Na`Vi win ESL Pro League over Titan

MIRAA
April 13th, 2015 00:10

Natus Vincere have been crowned ESL Pro League champions after seeing off Titan 2-1 in the grand final (16-12 on de_mirage, 7-16 on de_cache and 16-13 on de_cobblestone).

The title decider of the ESL Pro League pitted the two surprise packages of the tournament against each other as certainly most people expected the final to be contested by EnVyUs and Team SoloMid, especially after both teams finished at the top of their respective groups.

Opening up the series was de_mirage, where Titan got off to a great start by picking up a total of ten rounds on the CT side of the map. But Na`Vi, powered by Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev, the top fragger for his team, turned the score around in the second half to take a 1-0 lead in this best-of-three tie.

Na`Vi win ESL Pro League

Next up came de_cache, where the two teams played out a very close first half as Titan were enjoying a one-round lead at the break after playing on the CT side. But the face of the game changed as soon as the Frenchmen moved to the offensive side of the map as they took eight rounds without response to level the series.

The deciding map was de_cobblestone, on which neither side were able to distance themselves from the other during the first half. A narrow 8-7 lead after playing as CT on this map usually spells trouble for a team, but Na`Vi were the exception to the rule as they gave a great account of themselves on the T side of the map to seal a 16-13 victory and take home the big prize.

Only dumb people are calling them top 1, but they're sure a legit contender for top5 right now.

one does not simply bet against 3DMAX
2015-04-13 00:27
:D Now i could really confirm how shit cpw are! 3dmax is a good team yes :)
2015-04-13 00:41
CPHW is a mixteam using two standins and they just beat 3DMAX at CPH Games. Your intelligence is an insult to the rest of the hltv users. Guess next week if the scores are the other way around your comment will be the same, just about 3DMAX.
2015-04-13 08:31
haha or you will shut the fuck up after next week and stop defending your homeboys and see clear through your eyes that they are shit. I'm not only talking about ESL baby boy.
2015-04-13 14:32
I don't think they are good, but neither do I think that 3DMAX is. You're just a moron beyond belief if you think that 3DMAX is a good team and CPHW isn't when they always beat eachother. I am not a "homeboy" kinda man and thats the difference between you and me. A man and a little boy with no knowledge of what is going on.

Congrats to both Na'Vi & Titan. Great to see Titan back on a Podium finish, but they really really need to end the Major curse now to be taken seriously.

looking at stats this must been really close games, and the especially the rounds navi won must have been much closer than the rounds titan won. thats the only explanation for the stats
2015-04-13 00:28
16-7 on the second map is the explanation
2015-04-13 01:38
it really was hell of a game except that 2nd map (cache) well even on cache navi took 7 t rounds but titan is titan.

2015-04-13 06:15
The biggest suprise of the tournament was Maniac. =) Rly amazing performance from him if they somehow try to remove Rpk or ex6 with some powerful rifle player they will be real top5~ for sure
2015-04-13 00:34
scream :D
2015-04-13 00:40
RpK is decent and keeps improving, they don't need any changes, they should improve their teamplay. If apEX & kennyS will play well consistently and maniac keeps his form with RpK improving from event to event, they will just fine.

Na` Vi, deserved to win the event. But they need to improve alot and beat teams enVyus, fnatic, NIP, TSM and VP (arguably they are top 4th and 5th team impov, no offence) consistently. Titan, new chokers behind TSM. I think they are both choke at real time when it matters.
