Keyd Stars have been crowned r1seCup champions following a 2-1 victory over Dexterity (13-16 on de_cache 19-17 on de_dust2 and 16-9 on de_inferno).

Held at the Top Run Arena, located in São Paulo, the offine finals of r1seCup gathered the top four sides of the online group stage, who faced off for their share of the 1,300 BRL (approximately $400) prize purse.

The two favourite going into the event - Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's Keyd Stars and Dexterity - advanced from the semi-finals without too much trouble a they moved past Mastermind and Rampage Killers, respectively, without dropping a single map.

FalleN's Keyd Stars win domestic tournament following an exciting final

In the clash between Brazil's strongest sides, it was Dexterity who claimed bragging rights first as Christos "prd" Savvidis's team came from behind to secure a 16-13 victory on de_cache after finding themselves trailing their opponents by seven rounds at the break.

de_dust2 then went down to the wire, with the map being decided by overtime, in which Keyd Stars sealed a 19-17 victory. The decider map, de_inferno, was pretty much a one-way street as the former KaBuM moved eased past Dexterity 16-9 to secure a 2-1 victory in the series.

surprisingly good skill level in brazil, if other teams can almost beat their top team
2015-04-19 12:59
Also Mastermind played 16-12, 16-13 versus KeyD in semifinals
2015-04-19 13:04
Just like Australia...there is not much of a gap, there is NO TOP TEAM.
2015-04-19 13:04
That's not true. Keyd seemed to be playing without tactics. They were just rushing bombsites with flashes and still managed to win. If Keyd played like they played in Katowice they would just smash DeX. There isn't a team in Brazil that can compete with Keyd. DeX has good aimers, but they aren't a true team. They don't have a great and experienced igl like FalleN, or 2 big stars like fer and boltz. They don't have tactics. Keyd is on another level, very far from DeX's and MM's level. Although it's true that DeX has some potential to compete on international tournaments. I'm sure that they're better than Bravado or MTS Game Wolf

lol I'm better than MTS Game Wolf, and I suck :D

To the guys who are saying about the prize money, the tournament was made in the last hours,it doesnt had to much sponsor so that why the prizemoney was too low. :/ Unfortunately people in brazil dont have eyes to the brazilian csgo scene...
