mousesports have won the ESL Spring Championship, known in German as the "Frühlingsmeisterschaft," by defeating KILLERFISH 2-1 in the grand finals.

The ESL FM German 2015 series saw several online cups take place to determine finalists for the Spring Championship. After five cups in total, the top eight teams moved on to the group stages of the ESL Frühlingsmeisterschaft.

However, it was only the top four teams that qualified for the offline showdown in Duisburg, Germany that fought it out in a single elimination bracket this weekend.

The grand final saw a spectacular performance from NiKo

After mouz cruised past myKPV.de and KILLERFISH took down Playing Ducks, the two teams met in the grand final to decide a German regional champion.

Despite the first two maps, de_dust2 and de_mirage, going to 16:14 scorelines with each map going to one of the teams, de_inferno finally saw mousesports stomp out their rivals 16:3.

In the series, Nikola "NiKo" Kovač in particular dropped a huge amount of kills, accomplishing a 1.54 rating. As a result, mousesports walk away with 4,000 Euros (~$4,480).

The final prize-pool breakdown is:

1. Germany mousesports - €4,000 Euros (~$4,480)
2. Germany KILLERFISH - €2,000 Euros (~$2,240)
3-4. Germany myKPV.de -  €750 Euros (~$840)
3-4. Germany Playing Ducks -  €750 Euros (~840)

2015-05-03 02:20
No lol, I just wan't to see him in teams such as navi and such. His skill level is on lvl of fnatic/tsm/vp players hands down

Without hating any team, including mousesports, yes, Niko does deserve a better team. There is a golden rule in C.S which is that you improve as much as your team improves. He is right now the best player in mouz by miles. Imagine him playing with other teams & better players. Anyway, he's doing good in mouz, and I'm glad to see them winning.
2015-05-03 02:41
So tell me what team is a SERIOUS canditate of picking him up? There is just none. Mousesports is the best team he can get at the moment.

CPH Wolves. LGB eSports. LDLC. FlipSide. Property. Reason Gaming. Acer eSports. I can continue on. Every team above mentioned can easily change a player for Niko, simply cause he is better than the weakest links in those teams. Anyway, he is doing good in this moment, and mousesports seems to fit him, so its fine :)
2015-05-03 16:47
lol please. None of these teams would drop a player for Niko. If they drop their low players they are taking a talent from their own country. Wake up.

Talent over proven player. Seems legit. Take a seat please.
2015-05-03 17:43
Rofl. You should visit a doctor if you think ANY team you mentioned would take Niko over a player from their country. If Niko leaves mousesports he will stuck with a 3rd world team again. Keep dreaming kid.
2015-05-03 17:44
Imho mousesports is one of the best teams Niko can have atm. He is still very young and gob b is one of the most experienced players in the world. He will learn a lot in this team.

2015-05-03 02:20
u think his game hasnt benefited from playing alongside someone like gob & legjia since he joined mouz? sure he is a beast with rifle and in topshape atm, but dont make it sound like its a oneway street, both sides benefit alot from each other and niko grew and keeps on growing in mouz. its a good setup for him to be the entry guy for mouz.

you guys need to calm down about mousesports not being a good enough team for niko. he is an insanely good entry fragger and mousesports is like a candy land for entry fraggers. probably one of the best supporting teams out there right now.

friend of mine played an local tournament here in Brcko,Bosnia where is NiKo from, they played bo3,first map was cache niko had 60 frags 2nd guy in his team 15... he got a chance to speak with him,and he said that his english sucks, and that's the main reason for him not being able to find appropriate team, which made him play with balkan noobs.I think that legija is translating to him in mouz(not sure). english isn't hard to learn,he can do that in like 2 months lol
