flowsicK joins Liquid for Gfinity

Team Liquid have announced that Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez will be their fifth player at the upcoming Gfinity Spring Masters II.

The future of the North American team has been up in the air since their disappointing campaign at the FACEIT League Stage 1 finals, where they finished 7th/8th following defeats against fnatic and Immunity.

This week, Team Liquid were seen trying out potential candidates to replace Damian "daps" Steele. Armeen "a2z" Toussi and Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez were both tested in official matches as the team searched for a better alternative with hopes of giving a good account of themselves at the upcoming Gfinity Spring Masters, which will take place from May 15-17, in London.

flowsicK will attend the Gfinity Masters with Team Liquid

A decision about who will be Liquid's fifth man in the long run has not yet been made, but it seems that flowsicK was the player who impressed the most during the tryouts as he will be travelling to London with the team. flowsicK was a free agent after being released by Nihilum last month as the team signed former Cloud9 member Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen.

This means that Team Liquid will attend the Gfinity Spring Masters with:

United States Eric "adreN" Hoag
United States Jacob "FugLy" Medina
United States Nick "nitr0" Cannella
United States Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
United States Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez (stand-in)

true, but the problem is, adren is shit with rifle ( yeah and with awp too, but nvm ), so its unlikely they will add another awper
2015-05-08 15:02
isn´t Naf fly also free now? would be a good addition as well
2015-05-08 15:28
Should be, he was a stand-in for them yesterday so there must be some reason they aren't picking him up.

Why not naf?

I thought they got defeated by Immunity and not Vox Eminor
2015-05-08 14:09
We're just testing you guys, it's unusual that people actually read the article. :P

dont like how flowsick is playing, for me, he is just a average player.. if liquid wants to stay in top 3, they should look for someone better
2015-05-08 14:17
Glad daps is out. NAF was previously cut because of communication issues and lack of dedication, I believe, so it's unlikely that they'll take him back.

naf was already in before so guess there is a reason why not, professor is an awp, and relyks is irritating
2015-05-08 14:54
since adreN is going to be the IGL fulltime now (idk if he was before, but daps did it some time in the past) i think PC could actually take in the awp role while adreN could be the 2nd awper. But I think CLG need PC more. Lets see who they'll pick.

would like to see flowsick join them instead of daps..... last time i saw daps play he missed a entire ak47 clip on a guy who had his back turned on him, was flashed and didn't know where he was getting shot from ... oh the dude still managed to kill daps :p

There is better players on NA than still weren't grabbed for top teams like RelykS or DUMORE, and I'm quite sure than Liquid can offer something better than eLevate does to roca or desi. just9n from ex-Fenix would be good choice also.
2015-05-08 15:24
i know their are better players in NA but flowsick is also a solid choice and if u believe otherwise u didn't watch his playstyle. However as u mentioned RelykS is in my eyes would be a better pick but we don't know what or who currently is in talk with orgs etc.

Idk if he's the right choice, he's been around for quite some time going from one team to another and never having the impact you would expect from someone playing on a top team. I don't think he's a bad player anyway. But Liquid has many deficiencies and while flowsicK could contribute to make them a more solid team, would not give them the edge to aspire for at least Top 3 NA.

Liquid serious going on this event for another quick GG
2015-05-08 18:07
Good luck, flowsicK!
2015-05-08 19:57
With this I believe the top 3 NA teams are CLG, Luminosity, and Cloud9. Elevate could also be in between that mix with their ratings and consistency. But if they went up against any of these teams they would lose imo. Liquid is still out of the mix, even with flowsick coming in (who knows if he'll stay) But for right now we should be watching the top 3 NA teams to see which one can really pull to the top and help NA succeed.
2015-05-08 21:19
1. Cloud9 2. Elevate 3. Nihilum 4. CLG 5. Luminosity 6. Liquid
