Keyd Stars win iBP Summer Invitational

Keyd Stars won the iBUYPOWER Summer Invitational after seeing off Team Liquid 2-0 (16-10 on de_inferno and 19-17 on de_cache).

The second edition of iBUYPOWER's invitational cups featured eight of the strongest teams competing in North America, who battled it out for $10,000 in cash prizes.

In a tournament without any real upsets as most matches went according to script, it was Keyd Stars who reached the grand final first after moving past eLevate and Luminosity by 2-0 and 2-1 scorelines, respectively.

Keyd Stars win iBP Invitational in convincing fashion

From the other side of the bracket came the hottest US team of the moment, Liquid, who once again proved their worth after surviving tough tests against CLG and Cloud9.

Eric "adreN" Hoag's men were, however, unable to respond adequately to the challenge posed by Keyd Stars, who ran out 2-0 victors after picking up a 16-10 win on de_inferno and scraping a 19-17 success on de_cache.

They're mainly streaming, playing 10 man or pugs instead of practicing.
2015-06-22 23:57
And when they practice, they don't do it the way they're supposed to, at least according to what DazeD said in his video with Thoorin...

They've been earning good money for like 6 months, calm down nerd, and stop hating.
2015-06-23 00:35
so basically what you are saying is that 6 months of practice inst enough for the NA scene.. hmmm

United States mah9
yep, thats what i'm saying. people have only been viewing CS as nothing more than a hobby or pastime beyond the past year or less, so its going to take a while to start treating it like a true career.
2015-06-23 03:28
that is true, but on the other hand 6 months is also a lot of practice. and dont get me wrong i like the most of the NA scene. i would like nothing else than a epic battle between the NA and the EU with C9 in front. imagine a final between C9 and Fnatic going to last map. how epic would that be. but i also think (not so much C9 because they are a fairly new team) that it isn't time NA needs it is a change in their practice model.

Because keyd lost to Nihilum and Tempo due DDOS. If the event had not happened it would be keyd occupying the first place in the table needing to win today to finish in first place. In fact Cloud9 is better than Keyd, they are more regular and not lose for small teams like Keyd, Keyd is a team that on your best day is better than Cloud9, but they too fluctuate
2015-06-23 02:12
Had no idea about those dont follow NA, but I really want to see KeyD vs VOX for the first time. That will be a game and a half to watch.
