CLG sign UBINITED's team

CLG have announced via their website that they have completed the signing of the female team known as UBINITED.

UBINITED are without a doubt the most accomplished female team in the history of Counter-Strike with several international titles to their name, including six ESWC titles.

Later this week, the team will be looking to win another ESWC crown in Montreal, where they will face stiff competition from North American rivals Team Karma and from French side Acer, who won last year's event under 3DMAX.

UBINITED will play as CLG.Red from now on

Christine "potter" Chi and company have now received a massive boost ahead of the event as the players will fly the colours of CLG going forward.

"I'm so excited to be a part of CLG and cant wait to see where we can take CLG Red," team captain Christine "potter" Chi said in a statement.

"I've been a fan of CLG since I saw Hotshot throwing Nidalee spears on stream and could have never imagined I'd be a part of the family.

"It's a exciting time for esports, but especially CS:GO and the dream is here baby. CLG FIGHTING!"

CLG.Red have been drawn alongside Acer, Epsilon and LGB eSports in the group stage of ESWC's female tournament, which will have $15,000 at stake. The team's lineup consists of:

United States Christine "potter" Chi
United States Diane "di^" Tran
United States Benita "bENITA" Novshadian
Canada Catherine "cath" Leroux
Canada Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey

You mean all countries, all culture, male/female? Not bad, I would want players from different parts of the world, all speaking English at least though.

I will only respect girls when they, appart from compiting on female, go to fight on the unisex division.
2015-07-07 08:48
or get their kit off, either or
2015-07-07 09:19
When they attend proper events that don't stupidly cater to females only, they will get some respect. When they do well at these events vs male teams, they will get even more. Until then, nada.

I would respect girls if they would play men
2015-07-07 16:59
IF they play in their undies and streamed their games it would be worth watching them. If not then it's just like watching the womans world cup soccer games.

Actually they are.
2015-07-07 07:24
No they aren't. Karma is better, but they don't twitch or anything to advertise as much as Ubinited do
2015-07-07 10:16
I told you that ex-ubinited is better. Karma was just lucky their last couple tournaments...
2015-07-12 20:46
Yaya maybe they have money to attend more events.

Huh, I thought there will be shitstorm from insulted male players that they are soooooooo much better than these girls but they are not paid or sponsored. That's weird. Just looked at current time. Probably most of these are aleardy sleeping... :>.
2015-07-07 03:53
Plenty of comments like that over at esea
2015-07-07 03:57
Well I am not visiting esea so.. .
2015-07-07 13:18
only way clg can win anything. And lets be honest here, masq was the only female player capable of playing against male teams.
2015-07-07 04:06
Yea what happened to her? Haven't seen her play in forever
2015-07-07 08:18
she ripped in pepperinhos. such a shame, she was one of the few that didn't act like a camwhore. This is what feminism should be about, train your ass off and don't act like an entitled attention whore. I really believe that if she improved her movement, first bullet accuracy, and peeks she could be t2-3 NA someday.

Anyone know where is Alice Lew???
2015-07-07 04:43
Retired...
2015-07-07 07:26
wtf CLG? you have better options...
2015-07-07 04:46
i think they are trying to make the scene grow, by breaking the stereotype of the no grills allowed in esports. they arent trying to make another shit tier male NA team, just hype up the brand. my two cents
2015-07-07 05:40
This is all about adding more benjamins to CLG. Why else would they pick up an IM team that has done nothing? And not Karma?
2015-07-07 10:19
Karma is better

2015-07-07 09:02
I remember when Ubinited played vs Mythic and some other low end NA team. Max bets on all accounts even at 95:5 odds. If I recall correctly, Ubinited played 3 best of one's and only took 1 round over all 3 games.
2015-07-07 09:58
yup, ubinited was really bad at that time, they not even pass the group stage at eswc (usually they always got 1st place). jso(the best female cs player of all time) and benita was retire at that time. now benita come back to ubinited/clg
2015-07-07 10:27
Disagree. Jso was good but the best female player and also IGL was Alice Lew.
2015-07-07 10:34
It was something like that. I rather see Karma get a sponsorship since they are better

those got skill main. they are really good. i mean they are worldchamps. i appreciate skilled female Players. i just cant stand female noobs thinking i would carry them over the clouds only cause they are females. that doesnt workt with the offical sexiest man alive i am. i know all tricks and that what i said about female commentary is real. but it also always depends on individual taste, means which women tries it. XD pansy just nerves me a bit cause i know she isn't for real or fully legit. i need honest People in honest and real situations of life and no Hollywood set like situations just to prove the me. i know you know i am the king, but never go full Retard.
2015-07-07 13:41
The next step I would love to see is the transitioning of female teams into the main tournaments, or mix teams in the pro scene which aren't only guys. LGB or CLG picking up a female team is great , but in the end they are segregated anyway and those games aren't even shown on HLTV or 99damage or whever , you never see them. Unless it's at dreamhack or ESL One and runs at the same time as the grand finals. Start inviting female teams to tournaments or cups if they show promise.
2015-07-07 14:09
Fact is that they don't show promise. Cs female scenario is dying slowly, 10 years ago more than 20 teams were fighting in eswc fem Now we have only 8 pro-teams. Games are kinda unfair to women. They just retire earlier because of life stuffs,
2015-07-07 17:52
nice one
