Na`Vi storm through Renegades

Natus Vincere are the last team to make it to ESWC semi-finals after dominating Renegades 2-0 (de_overpass 16-8, de_train 16-5).

The last quarter-final started on de_overpass, Na`Vi's pick, but it was Renegades taking the lead as Terrorists early on with both the initial pistol and the first gunround for 5-0.

Things soon turned dark for the Australians though, as the SLTV champions grinded round by round despite being in numerous unfavorable situations, including a 2-on-3 retake and a 3-on-5 hold on the B bombsite.

Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács's picks all over the map also played a big part in Na`Vi's eight-round streak, which was broken with a 2-on-2 afterplant clutch for a 9-6 halftime score in Na`Vi's favor.

With the second pistol round in the bag and an exchanged couple of gunrounds, Na`Vi were looking comfortable at 13-8. An agressive push from Renegades then backfired, as Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko and GuardiaN picked up doubles in the chokepoint duels, and that was all Na`Vi needed to close out map one at 16-8.

AZR's heroics on de_train were not enough

On de_train Na`Vi were the ones to get a 3-0 start off a pistol round, but a surprisingly fast strategy towards A in the first gunround set them back to 3-3 after Aaron "AZR" Ward's quad-kill. The same player's double didn't turn into another round win in the following round, but a well-placed molotov in the one afterwards helped Renegades rotate quickly towards B and even it again at 4-4.

AZR continued to thrive as he helped his team take the lead for the first time on the second map, only for Na`Vi to break their economy for two rounds in a row and 5-7. Na`Vi then survived a scary anti-eco as AZR was close to winning another 1-on-2 and with GuardiaN's triple in the last round, they were looking more than comfortable with a five-round lead.

Renegades' quick B push down ramp was slaughtered for 13-5 in the pistol round. With both first gunrounds going in the hands of Zeus and company, the Australian representatives were looking down the barrel at ten match points, soon after turned into a win at 16-5, 2-0.

A little bit disappointed they didn't get more rounds on train because they beat NiP on train. Of course, it's expected RNG should lose against NaVi. Anyway, proud of them already after getting out of groupstage at an international event with the new lineup. They're making good process.
