Mortal Kombat sign for E-frag

E-frag.net have ventured into competitive Counter-Strike by signing the team known as Mortal Kombat.

The Bulgarian team were on the look-out for a new organisation to represent after parting ways with GPlay earlier in the month as the two parties failed to come to an agreement over a new contract.

After playing for little over two weeks as Mortal Kombat, a temporary name, the players have now contracts with Serbian organisation E-frag.net, which is behind the World Championships.

The players are hopeful that this deal will provide them with the financial conditions they need to cement their place in upper echelon of European Counter-Strike after raising eyebrows at the recent StarSeries finals, where they beat EnVyUs, HellRaisers and Gamers2.

"We had some really exclusive and solid offers from big names in the eSports," Nikolay "nkl" Krustev said in a statement.

"Why did we choose E-Frag? Because we know the guys who are in the core of the organisation for a really really long time, which means that they have our complete trust!

"We will give our best to continue competing on a professional top-level and make you, our fans, happy with our games."

The Bulgarian team should be making their first official LAN appearance under E-frag.net at the offline finals of Acer Predator Masters, later this month.

E-frag.net's team consist of:

Bulgaria Nikolay "nkl" Krastev
Bulgaria Simeon "dream3r" Ganev
Bulgaria Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov
Bulgaria Emiliyan "spyleadeR" Dimitrov
Bulgaria Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov

Yet nkl played with the team against Space Soldiers the same time as the 2nd qualifier was going on. And it was in the evening, and on a Saturday. Please tell me who has exams on a Saturday?

this info is more outdated than russian economy dude. They announced on stream that dreamer's problem is 100% solved and he is allowed to play on majors(valve-sponsored events) if they qualify for them.

maybe they should announce it somewhere else because no one watches shitty bulgarian streams lol. And they wont qualify for them dont worry :).

dont get me wrong,i like russians most of them are cool guys, i met many at bulgaria's seaside but when it comes to gaming - most of your countrymen are awfull.I know that they are either 30yrs old nolifers or some stupid kids - but still in Dota2/cs it is full of russians, which ruin every game they join ;)>

Yeah, that happens too often. I don't like them either, lol. But even in CS there are a lot of chill and cool russian guys. (not sure about dota, 220 hours there and only bad experience with my countrymen xD)

i play mostly with pre-mades,my last game with russians was today and they were really nice(although i think we lost).Still most of my games with them are pathetic - telling "gg" after lost pistol rounds, rushing appartaments as CT 15 rounds in a row and not willing to communicate.v

P.S.Really happy to see MK in a new org,i hope you match my expectations :P(very big fan and supporter here, watching the core of the players since old hsbg times when nkl was still playing there).

"We had some really exclusive and solid offers from big names in eSports" Really? And you go with a Serbian organisation, because OFC, Serbian e-sports organizations are legit and trustworthy in the long-run. I am very disappointed with this choice. I hope my doubts don't see fruition here. Good luck, anyways

I dont think E-frag $$$ comes from Serbia. Also dont forget that E-frag organise the World Championship/ESEC. When they can pay all the flies+hotels for all teams around the world they surely can support a csgo team.

2015-07-19 22:03
e-frag has became a big name in e-sports in the last 2 years. Also joining organisation - which staff gplay knows for 4-5 years grants them more security , while bigger orgs might drop them after 1-2 dissapointing matches(e.g. SK droped 3 teams in csgo after 1 tournament).

is e-frag better org than gplay ?
2015-07-20 02:37

Gplay is simply a selling gaming accessories and stuff, the only thing they did for GPlay was simply to pay some/or all of their taxes for trips and mby give them some gear to use ? while E-Frag are probably going to pay them better, pay their taxes for going on LANs and stuff, probably going to secure them a lot more stuff also they will get support from the organization itself and they might even find them a coach or smth,so yeah E-Frag in general is a lot better organization than gplay
