Titan, EnVyUs swap players
Titan have announced via their website that they have signed Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux and Richard "shox" Papillon from EnVyUs, who take Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire in return.
An agreement has now been reached between the two parties, with Titan stating that the move will "better both teams."
apEx and kennyS move to EnVyUs
EnVyUs decided to part ways with Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux and Richard "shox" Papillon with hopes of going back to the level of form that saw them win DreamHack Winter last year while still under LDLC. This year, the French team have won a number of international titles, but Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer's men have always come short at the big events.
"Today I am leaving Titan for a new challenge," Schrub said in a statement. "I am enthusiastic for the future, but at the same time nostalgic of what I leave behind.
"Even beyond the game, Titan remains one of my best adventures when it comes to people and I am not ready to forget it.
"I really appreciated these 15 months surrounded by everyone who made this team work, thanking them and wishing them the best of luck in the future!"
Titan will hope that the injection of new blood will allow the team to stop the free fall in which they have been for several months now. Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's men will have their first test with the new lineup this weekend, at the offline qualifier for ESL One Cologne, where they will face Gamers2 in the opening round.
"I am really eager to play with Kévin, Mathieu and Cédric," Papillon said. "We already know each other well but I also know that we've all grown these past months.
"We are returning to a four man lineup that has already proven itself in the past, and having someone like Mathieu on top of that can truly benefit us in and out of the game.
"I am confident in this team and I believe we hold all the cards in order to make this a success.
"Thanks to Titan for their confidence and thank you to our fans, I promise to give you my very best."
The move leaves EnVyUs and Titan with the following lineups:
